Amy RetherAmy Rether: This is a very good product. For a moderate price, I have an easy to use light that beings my fish tank to life. I was struggling with my plants dying and this has the right LED light colors.
I mostly bought this for it's 24/7 function. It wanted a light that would give the right color spectrum for plants and gently shut off and on without stressing my aqua-kids so much. I have a 20" tank and it covers 98% of the water with a good fit.
It was mostly easy to put together. The slider bars fought me a little bit it just took a moment to line it up. Easy to install otherwise and comes with good instructions.
I probably won't use it much but it has a nice spectrum of individual colors you can select as well as a rotating cycle. I have a glass lid for my tank so the light is slightly in the way when I open to feed. Not bad enough to have a problem with it as it just slides a bit and I'm good.
Hygger has been highly recommended and I can see why. I'm looking forward to shifting my light timers to my other plant areas. Great purchase.

groupleader: Have been using two of these 36" led lights for my 125- gallon tank, they work perfectly puts out so much light, we don't need a light on in the living room. Highly recommend these lights.

Kindle Customer: I really like this light and it was pretty easy to use and figure out how to set it for the different times. Also like how it slowly lights up as it turns on and how it dims when turning off. The light is pretty good, lights up my 20g pretty well.

A. Chan: I like this light and I bought two. 24/7 mode is good. Price is good. I wish it has 8 hours for the timer. Also if they can provide a riser so the light can be higher and not too close to the water level.
Overall this light is good value.

BlocknlotBlocknlot: Positives -
Great value, bought on the recommendation of another.
Light spectrum is just right. Brightness very good.
Timer is basic and works well
Price is unbeatable and would recommend to a friend
Outstanding quality feel
Negatives-
It's not really a negative but the different color light spectrum selections are more of a gimmick to serious aquarists. I simply set it to the full white setting but I can see some less serious people playing with the different lights.
Understanding this is a aquarium light that fills all the essentials of what a light should do minus the unnecessary gimmick and phone apps of other lights, it is truly a great product that does what it is supposed to do.

Sherri Bain: I’ve had this light set up for just a week. My plants are already doing better. Pros: It’s a very nice looking light. Slim profile, black aluminum outer body. The 24/7 feature is perfect if you have medium to low light plants. I love how it cycles like natural light from sunrise orange, to daylight bright, to finish with moonlight blue. Color is showing up in plants because of the full spectrum of color used in the light. Quite an improvement from the simple all white leds that came with the hood of my aquarium kit.
I bought a glass top for my aquarium and set the light on top to avoid any water reaching it, although it is said to be water resistant, I just didn’t want to risk it. I love the look of the low profile light over the bulky, higher profile black hood.
Cons: The directions that come with the light are a nightmare. The manufacturer could provide a YouTube link with a demonstration, because if you want to use anything other than the 24/7 feature, the directions are confusing. There is also no timer if you just wanted full light for a set number of hours, and not the cycling light of the 24/7 feature.
Despite that, the quality of the light is very good, and...

Tanyamr: So far this is an amazing light. The price was great. The amount of settings are incredible for such a simple design. I absolutely love the look of it!! This light is very slim and is almost impossible to see if I am sitting on the couch or from across the room. It would also look amazing on theme tanks and that type of décor where there are no plants, but has colorful décor items. (great nightlight for kids room?...lol).
The Full Spectrum is the perfect amount of light for my 26" tall tank.
I am not sure if plants that require supper bright lights will like it but IMO the med light plants should do great. (I had 2 - 18,000k t5s on my tank prior and it was way to bright).
It only took 30 minutes and My German Blue Rams have already come out of hiding.
The instructions were simple...unless you are me...lol. I kept thinking that the 8:00,10:00,12:00,15:00,18:00,22:00 was the hours that you can set it for a timer.... it is not...lol. It is the 6 timer points that you can set the local time at. So if you want the light on at 6am then you must set it at one of these timer points. If you want it on at 5 then set it at 7,9,11,2,5,9 instead or if you want it to come...

PWadzinski: hygger HG-978 Operating Instructions ("translated")
I love this product. I got a smaller version for my 10G tank a year ago, and used that on my 20G"tall" tank as well. This larger one does more, and that's great! You have options. The bad news is, the instructions are somewhat difficult to understand. Like many things made in different parts of the world, sometimes the English instructions need some study to figure out what they really mean. It happens, and doesn't make it any less of a great product, IMO. So, after some study and experimentation, I was able to condense the basics of this light.
There are three ways to use it.
The first is to simply turn it on, select a color (it has a bunch), set the intensity level, and turn it off when you want to. Basically a "manual" light. One feature here... you can select a "Color Changing Loop" when you pick a color, and it will cycle through all the colors like one of those old Christmas tree back lights , if you remember those... Anyway...
The second way to use it is to set a Timer. This light has a 6, 10, or 12 hour Timer setting. It will be "ON" for the selected amount of time from the time you set the...

Greg d'Entremont: I've had this light for 7 months now, and the time just changed yesterday, so I had to reset the time that the light turns on for it's 24 hour cycle. You will read in other reviews that the setup is hard, but it's not that difficult to figure out.
One item that is not discussed but I just determined yesterday is this:
- if it's set to the 24 hour cycle and you power cycle it, it will start at the "8 AM" setting.
Why is this important to know? I have my aquarium fully automated with NodeRed, MQTT, and SONOFF devices. Now I've added a routine to power cycle the light at 8 am on Sundays so that the light will always be kept to the correct time. I have not noticed any time drift over the last 7 months and since the aquarium is on a UPS, this is the first time since the initial light setup that I've tinkered with this light. I fully expect that come next March, when the time shifts yet again, my NodeRed will power cycle the light at 8 AM and the light schedule will be exactly where I want it.
