Mr. Mario: Esta padre la luz, tiene buena programacion y bastante luz. Sin embargo, comparando eso, con lo que se calienta la luminaria en si, y el cargador, creo que es una falla de seguridad en la casa, puede llegar a ocasionar incendios, cortos y demas. Regrese el articulo y compre otra luminaria de la misma marca, que ha salido buena.

Wilfred: This is good powerful aquarium light for plant growth. However, when there is a power interruption all setting go back to default/ factory settings and you need to reprogram the whole thing again. A simple battery backup within the system would have solved this issue but unfortunately…. This a drawback on the system.

Du: I've owned two Hyggers and I have to say, they're an amazing value. Probably the most powerful LED lighting you'll get without paying a fortune for stuff by AI or Kessil. These things are PUNCHY and so far have no problem growing vivid red plants. They're also very much waterproof, as my smaller one can attest to after having been dropped in the tank multiple times. It's two years old and I have yet to lose a single diode.

The timer is fairly easy to use, although the poorly-translated instructions don't help. I found it easier to watch a short YouTube video about how to set up the custom programming.

The biggest flaw is the lack of memory. Lose power and you'll have to reset both the clock and whatever custom programming you have. This gets really annoying if you live somewhere that's prone to power blips. My solution was to put it on a battery backup that's powerful enough to keep it running through blips and short outages.

Overall it's a fantastic, reasonably priced light.

Michael OmiccioliMichael Omiccioli: I purchased this light for a Waterbox Marine X 110.4 tank. The tank is running freshwater fish and this light provides ample light. I know there are lights out there that can cost $500 to $1000. I'm sure those lights are good but honestly they are not necessary. The money they charge in my humble opinion is excessive and a waste. I design LED circuits and I know what they should cost. Again just my 2 cents.

This light does it all except Bluetooth control. This is minor since the schedule manages sun rise and sun set cycles. It even has multi color control. If you want to change the color or the brightness then yes you have get up off your butt and touch the light. It does get warm, but not uncomfortably warm when I put my hand on it. If you read the instructions it indicates below 120 is fine.

The instructions for the light could be better but take your time read them closely and you will get it. If you want Alexa or Siri to do it for you, go buy the $1000 lights. These are pets there is supposed to be a personal touch. Any other issue I could manage to come up with is offset by the cost.

If you want a light that does everything and requires no thinking then...

Robin: We wanted to have multiple on / off periods throughout the day, so DIY mode is the obvious choice for us. Getting this set up was rather frustrating.

But first, the summary:
This light will always be fully off when first plugged in or power is restored. After power on, you must set the time before doing anything useful, but program settings are retained. So you can't use this on an external timer.
24 hour mode is not too complicated to set up and use. DIY mode is a bit more trouble to set up if done right, but very troublesome if you make the mistakes documented below.
Manually turning on and off the light takes a lot of button mashing. After using manual mode and restoring to automatic mode, the light setting appears to be reversed from what it should be; just wait 15 minutes for it to "fade-in" to the correct on/off state.

Here is what the instructions don't say:
1. Standard mode will override DIY mode, turn standard mode off (both Day-L and Moon to off) before enabling DIY mode. If DIY mode is already on, you must turn DIY mode off first before you can turn off standard mode, then you can turn DIY mode back on.
