Kid KrazzKid Krazz: The media could not be loaded.  This brand has a good name so I gave it a chance, sad that I was let down. I bought 3 160gph systems, I've tried all three on a double stacked 7 gallon tote hydroponics system. I first thought maybe I didn't clean out everything so might be clogged, took it all apart and detailed it. Still the same results but I will try one more move and return the pumps for a bigger gph to see if its that or the pumps just not up to par as the name. I will update this review following the test of different gph size pump.

*UPDATE*
So, did some tweaking on the hydroponic system, used some plumbers tape and bam its working. Found out it wasn't particularly the pump itself but the fittings where not closed off enough. I used plumbers tape and sealed off the open connection and the pressure just kicked in and all sprayers are working. I highly recommend buying these pumps!

Kevin SargentKevin Sargent: Purchased in 2018, this has been in my outdoor pond for 5 years.
Only this year, five years later, has it began to slow down and make a rattling noise. It's not moving as much water as it used to.

I use this for a reverse flow (up flow) biofilter with appx 24" head pumping through 15 layers of green scrub pads in a ceramic flower pot (an EXCELLENT way to hide a DIY filter, BTW)

Highly recommended for a CHEAP low head / low pressure / high flow pump

RANDAL S HANNAN: Great pump but the 3/4" barb fitting that ships with it does NOT fit the threads on this pump (550gph). Fortunately I had one from my old pump that did fit.

John: Good pump. Only downside to it is if you take the filter off to have it as an external pump. There is no walking mechanism to keep it from separating from its plate

Claude: Pump works better then expected, it is a bit noisy but no more then most fish pumps, the part that got me was the $17 import fees.

linux only: I purchased this unit (Hydrofarm AAPW1000 92-Watt 1000 GPH Indoor/Outdoor pump) on April 25, 2022 and wrote this review on June 15, 2022.

I am using the Hydrofarm for my small ornamental pond which holds about 340 gallons. This pump is powerful for my needs!

I replaced my old anemic VIVOSUN 800GPH Submersible Pump(3000L/H, 24W) which failed after one year in the hopes of a more audible water sound, better water circulation and oxygen generation and less overall clogging.

TLDR; huge improvement, night-and-day difference. The pump itself below the water level makes zero noise. I removed the silly foam "filter" as this would have clogged instantly in my natural water conditions (string algae, lily roots, snails, goldfish, etc). I do not have a bog filter at this time.

I have a small rock fountain set about 3 feet high from the water surface. This pump sits about 1 1/2 feet below the water surface on the bottom resting on the pond liner amongst the muck and lily roots.

The total height rise is about 5 feet using 3/8 inch diameter clear tubing. I used the provided nipple that came with the pump. The tubing runs about 6-7 feet in length along the back...

Tabitha: A good, solidly built little pump. Strong suction cups kept it right where I put it and when tested without a hose it sprayed me in the face with ease. Sadly, it simply doesn't have enough oomph to get the water where I need it to go. It's a good purchase if you're not looking to get water all the way across your house.

Celinerulz!Celinerulz!: Just got this today. From all of the reviews I was surprised how many questions I had about the pump.

1) It's apparently recommended for 15 gallon tanks (I'm using it for a container garden which is about 90 gallonsish). From what I can see it is most definitely pumping like a beast - the water in my container would make a teeny human sea sick. - Very impressed with the power

2) It comes with both of the attachments - so you get the air induction hose/muffler WITH the the two optional tube fittings you see in the image they post on the ad.

3) It fits a 1/2" tube (I bought the black vinyl one that's recommended - it fits perfectly - snug)

4) It seriously is ridiculously small - A bit smaller then an Iphone 4 dimension but thicker obviously.

5) Both of the air valve tubes stay ABOVE water - for some reason I was very confused about how the aeration would work but the manual explains it.

6) Note that the power cord is quite short. I think my hair dryer has a longer cord, but it's about 6 feet'.
