AA: Tried it on wood only so far. It works 100% of the time. I prefer the smaller golden colour one because it's easier to use, bigger one requires more hand force, but both work well.

Elvis-II: Bought these to replace a old one that keeps failing the punch when i needed. So far they have not failed and maintains a sharp point, used on steel, copper and aluminum. Drill bit will not come out of the punched hole when starting to drill. Great automatic center punch and affordable.

Bob: The smaller punch would not work at all beyond 3 punches.
The larger took awhile to work but just when I was about to give up it started. A couple months later and it’s still okay.
Will not buy from them again.
