Amazon Customer: These cutters are intended for electronics or jewelry work, and they work great. I've paid more for one similar cutter and it doesn't work any better. The cut is flush and clean on copper wire and they'll cut a hair-fine wire if you can see well enough to get it between the jaws. You'll ruin them if you try to cut steel wire that's very thick, but they're not intended to be heavy duty cutters. They seem to do as well on about any soft metal as well as plastic.
