AnnB: I always feel part of the tale. Heartbreaking and heartwarming all in one. I’m beginning to wonder what if this happened in real life?

Shebeara: I couldn’t predict how this would end. The story arc was started in book 5 and continued through 6 and 7 and I knew there was an HEA but how was just not predictable. Raghnall was the clans black sheep exiled by a cruel father but still loved by his siblings. His existence on his own was harsh and emotionally scarring. Bryanna has diabetes’s and was sheltered and over protected by her parents. She has a secret she’s psychic and believes she’s predicted her death. They are thrown together by Sineag the faerie and they are forced to find common ground. Bryanna is melting Raghnall heart. Their connection is stressed in the first half of the book but the great threat happens in the second half and that plus her diabetes are heart wrenching and scary. There seems to be no solution until there is one and then there is still heartache until the end. I highly recommend the audiobook which brings the emotions to a real place. Your heart breaks with Raghnall as he faces adversity and tries to overcome. You feel Bryannas weakness from the diabetes and the knowledge she can’t stay in the 14 century. The ending was great.

Leanne Stewart: I can’t put these books down, I am just reading one after another… although I’m trying to space them out… because I look forward to reading them/I don’t want it to end! I love how the storylines cross over. Wonderful easy read with an absorbing story - can’t wait for the next!

WINDSOR RESIDENT: part of a series of books set in medieval times

JustAReader: This is the first book in the series I’ve read from this author. I really like the story it was very unique in the sense of the ending. Not the usual ending on most historical Scottish romances would have. I find that you can read the books in any order as they’re all standalone but if you want connection between secondary characters I would advise to read the books in order. I am looking forward to reading the other books in this series and I would recommend this series to anyone who’s interested in time travel.

D. Miller: This 7th book in Mariah Stone’s “Called by a Highlander” series is SO GOOD! I really loved it! The character development was intense and really delved into the emotional make-up of the 2 protagonists, Bryanna, from the 21st century, and Raghnall, from clan Mackenzie in the 14th century.
Bryanna was an insulin-dependent diabetic and always carried her test kit and extra insulin with her. She, her sister, and their mother were in Scotland and were going through the Eilean Donna castle when she started to feel light-headed as if her sugar was too high. Looking for a place where she could test her sugar, she went down an empty hallway and through a door at the end of it. Imagine her surprise when she stumbles upon a rock with a handprint and wavy lines upon which a faerie named Sineag sat. When she put her hand on the handprint, she awoke in the 14th century with only 3 insulin shots available to her.
Raghnall was the black sheep of his family and was thrown out of the clan by his own father when he was only 14. When he shows up at his former home, he wants to prove himself to his brother Angus, who is now the head of the clan. In order to get the lands that were...

Patricia Rodels: Bryanna and Raghnall’s story is one of the most beautifully written. It was so full of suspense that I found myself anxious as Raghnall never wanted to love anyone because he had been beaten down literally by a father that had no natural affection for his children and Raghnall believed he was unlovable. Than who should literally fall into his life, Bryanna who feels because of her health she is broken and will never be loved for herself. They both are wrong about themselves and love sneaks up and bites them but then it seems to be ripped right away from them in a life or death situation. Can this damaged couple finally find the happiness they deserve? You won't be able to stop reading "Highlander's Bride" and the suspense will keep you reading into the wee hours as it did me!!
