Brad: i really dont understand how one is to rate value, longevity and life of a battery that you just received. in a few months they tell me you are not able to put a review in. so how does this work? i used to buy by those rating the product but over the years is this accurate? i did buy one some time back and it did work over a years time but then would not hold a charge very long.

Frank: Battery advertised 3600 mAh capacity. I ran the battery to empty the first 3 charges as recommended. It accepted only 2250, 2123 and 2487 mAh. (Should have taken nearly 3600 mAh.) I found that my Galaxy phone was reaching empty just as fast as my original 4.5 year old battery. Battery was either defective, or more likely a mis-labled old-stock 2600 mAh battery, (just like the original.)

Sadly, I missed the return deadline by 2 days...

James Vaughan: Used this battery to help my father revive his phone and turn it to an MP3 player to replace his then-current junk mp3 player.

Just swapped the old battery with this new one, slipped in a microsd card with his music, and downloaded VLC media player off the app store and done. The phone has purpose again.

I would not recommend this battery for anything other than reviving an extra device to browse the web or listen to music around the house. It charges slow and the longevity of this battery is not something you can rely on for use as your main phone.

But with official battery replacements long out of production for the older models of phones, you don't have many options and it does as advertised. mediocre but serves it's purpose.

Wyton1: I never have a lot of faith in after market cell phone batteries. This one had great reviews and was pretty cheap, so I decided to give it a try.

Out of the box the battery had a 60 percent charge, which is a good sign. It also looked identical to the stock battery in size and weight. I treated the battery like a new Samsung battery and immediately gave it a full charge. After the first charge battery performance was poor, draining even faster than the worn out battery that came with the phone. I was going to send it back but decided to try a few more charge/recharge cycles, going from about 25 percent up to 100 percent. With each charge cycle the battery did better and better. Now the wife is completely happy with battery performance. She happy equals me happy.

I believe this is the first time I have ever been pleasantly surprised with an aftermarket smart phone battery.
