JSV: This is NOT the standard size pegwinder bit! These are a touch smaller and WILL NOT work with many larger machine head buttons or any bass machine heads.

What it IS GOOD FOR is for mandolin tuners, ukes, etc. The larger ones oscillate if they're not right on center, and sometimes I need a pegwinder attachment for smaller instruments, especially mandolins. This works fine. I had no issues as others have said about it being off center or spinning irregular, the one I got was fine and I'm using it a lot for mandolin work.

Just thought I'd leave this review so people buying it don't think it's the standard size, but it IS a great tool to have when you need a smaller size for smaller tuner buttons.

Billy: Mainly just needed a string winder, and we'll, it does wind strings so I'm happy. Plastic feels a bit cheap but for the price no body should really be complaining. I also used the strings cutters and they had no problem cutting the strings so I am very happy with this purchase.

A must have item for guitarists! Makes a quick job out of swapping out strings, without damaging your instrument. The winder saves time and allows you to bring em all up to pitch little by little. After a couple of days in tune go ahead and clip the left over string to make a neat appearance.
I gave this one to a new player who was nervous about doing her strings for the first time, she loves it.
