Robert: Arrived almost instantaneously! I was concerned the cutter might not work on my bass strings, but it worked fine! The construction quality is fine too. But, the winder isn't suitable for basses because the bass clover leaf that you turn is too large to fit correctly. Would prob work fine for guitars. I'm keeping it just for the string clipper.

Forrest: There are some reviews on this tool claiming it breaks easily. My experience with it so far is it will last for some time as long as it’s handled with a little care. The string cutter works great. The hinge is snug but that’s a good thing while winding strings. The string winder fits the tuners on all my instruments nicely. It is plastic and could break if you torque on it too much. So When changing strings I loosen the strings a half turn or so by hand and then only wind the new string up until it’s tight enough to ring. I finish bringing it up to it’s note by hand. I have not used the peg puller function but it seems hearty enough to do the job.

Craig: String winder works on mechanical tuners but not on carved wood tuners.
String cutter cuts close to the tuner and can be used to push the cut end out of the way.
Pin puller works but I don't find it necessary sinc pins loosen when string tension is released.
Very compact and light weight so it tucks easily into a pocket in the instrument case.

lovemusic: Love this thing! I had a regular plastic one prior to this purchase and the thing to pop out the pegs was too thick so it didnt work well but this one has a nice thin one imperfect and having the wire cutters attached is fantastic as I can never find my wire cutters. It feels a little flimsy but for the price it's fantastic and worth buying again if it breaks eventually.

Kevin: Great tool. Good price. You don’t need to tools to wind your guitar strings and then cut them. It’s all in one. And it’s small enough to fit in one of the storage pockets in a gig bag, or or your storage areas in your herd case
