Lyngay Hemsath: Enjoyed the story. A stand alone HEA with a alien half breed farm romance. Some suspense of a crazy land grabbing alien and intrigue of secondary characters, that peak an interest in possibilities of other stories. Well written.

Steffire Serenade: I love stories where two lonely people find each other. Meg is shocked when she encounters Roardon- her one night stand- at the farmhand auction, though their night was wonderful she fears hiring him would be awkward. But he’s the only one she can afford cause no one wants him due to the fact he is only half human. There are frightening rumors of the Voltare but she knows he is good and gentle and ends up hiding him. Despite flaming attraction and lust Meg asserts upfront that she just needs a farmhand and their night is in the past, and I just love how she doesn’t even last a DAY and by night two their bunking together. The farm has been plagued with equipment breakdowns and other odd occurrences lately, and with Roardon at her side they put two and two together and figure out that something (or someone) sinister is afoot.

skgillman29: This was a peek into the world of Cresca and an introduction to the Vultor species. I had this book in my TBR for some time, but with reading the author's "Seven Alien Brothers for Seven Brides" series, I noticed the title again in the author's notes at the end of Drakkar. My next book in the series is Endark, whom is also a Vultor hybrid, so I'm off to read that next.

I love everything, Ms. Phillips writes, so I have plenty more to read from this amazing writer.

And even though she tried to fight the attraction Fate had other ideas. Hot times, a vicious predator, a long lost sibling, this book had it all. I enjoyed it and can’t believe I had it in my library and hadn’t read it yet. It was only after I finished ENDARK that I remembered. I think hosectwo should meet one day since they have more than a few similarities.

mockingbird: Meg owns a farm near the mountains and for the Crescan New Year she visits her friend in the town. Her friend already arranged a blind date for her. There Meg meets Roardon, half human, half Vultor, a shapeshifter. They have a wonderful night together and Meg declares this as a one-night-stand, she doesn't want a relationship. The next morning she goes to an auction for contract workers, because she needs a farmhand. She has no other choice than to take Roardon and both return to the farm together ............
I loved to read the book. The characters are true, brave, empathic and caring. The storyline contains adventure, action, suspense and hot romantic scenes. I highly recommend this book and look forward to the following books of Ms. Phillips.
