Paul Bade: I bought these to replace my very old clothesline poles from HomeDepot. The ones from HomeDepot had included a plastic sleeve to place in the concrete so that the clothesline pole could be removed if desired. Since these had the same 2 inch pipe, I was able to reuse the existing sleeve-lined holes in existing concrete. This manufacturer should include plastic sleeves. The other thing that I learned from owning the HomeDepot ones is that getting the one-piece pole version is what you should do. The older HomeDepot poles were two-piece and sagged/tilted at the joint. We made those work by putting iron water pipe inside the old HomeDepot poles...but, the one-piece version offered here is much better/easier. Overall the pipe seems about the same thickness as our old ones which lasted quite a long time before being demolished by a Bobcat doing some work in our yard.

Rickey Marecle: Poles are too limber. Cannot tighten line without top section pulling in. Would not recommend
