The retractable line is fantastic and it holds wonderfully when extended without sagging. We ended up buying a second one for winter drying inside.

As someone with not a lot of square footage to work with, this provides me with my needs while also being ridiculously easy to put away. The string is thick and tough, and the locking mechanism makes it sturdy enough to hang wet clothes on. Very stable and looks good too. Definitely worth the money.

Schroeder: This clothes line is REALLY well made, offers superior design, the mechanism keeps the retractable line from drooping, the encasement is strong and tidy as well as attractive, and on top of all this, the seller got this to me within 24 hours. BRI: I wanted a very sturdy drying solution for my wet yoga mat and towels. We have a small outdoor space in our urban rowhome so aesthetics were important to me, as well. This line checks the boxes! It's perfect. The wire is thin but very sturdy, and the line has no problem holding a heavy rubber yoga mat, wet towels and clothing, all at once. I've been using it daily for 60 days, and it retracts very well.

My spouse has used this with her extremely heavy gi's for brazilian jiu jitsu as well - it handles that job well also! An added bonus.

A big component of making this a sturdy drying solution is being mindful of how you install it. It's important to mount both sides (the side with the line and the receiver side) in a secure way. Avoid hollow walls if you can, and if you cannot, make sure you utilize very high performance anchors (I'd personally recommend something more robust than the included anchors.) Ideally, you mount it in solid wood, concrete, etc. and it should perform great day in and out!
