Jamey: I've been in the military for 20 years and have used many many flashlights, from cheap harbor freight to surefires and beyond. This little flashlight is awesome for the price! very compact, and I like the clip so you can clip inside your pocket like a pocket knife.

It has really good light for being single aaa battery light! Having a decent LEP diode and not being incandescent really makes a difference.

I highly recommend this little flashlight, and plan to buy several more to keep in our vehicles and junk drawers.

DudeFromDenver: I picked these up to make a bunch of 6x12in "handy travel stuff" canvas pouches for myself & friends. I always end up accidentally forgetting about my multitool or pocketknife or scissors when I go through airport security, or I forget to bring or end up losing pens or a scarf or my notebook, or I end up having to use a shoelace for a makeshift clothesline when paracord would have been just the thing, or I space out bringing a lighter or a flashlight -- you know, all that stuff that you bring and lose on the trip, or stuff you forget to bring but would have ended up coming in super-handy at one point or the other, or stuff that inconsistent airport security screening will let pass in one country but clamp down on in another for some unknown reason. If I'm not traveling around on vacation or business, it'd be handy stuff to just have in the car. Anyhow, the flashlights are great because they are as simple as it gets (unscrew, put battery in, screw down, click button, lumos!) There's no "dim" or "strobe" or "SOS" mode to click past... you get "on" and "off". The "check battery" function is as simple as clicking it 5 or 6 times without getting any light and you know it's time to...

Alex: When I bought this it was only $7; idk if it’s still that price, but if it is def snatch up one or two. For what it is, it’s a pretty good light. In an absolutely pitch black room of average size, simply turning it on is enough to cast enough ambient light to see most of you surroundings, and the directional light is fairly bright for its size too. Considering that you can squeeze that much light out of a single AAA battery is p impressive to me.

THAT SAID. It’s NOT 150 lumens. Prob closer to 90-120 depending upon the quality of battery you use. I’m basing this ballpark guesstimate solely on the 150 lumen energizer flashlight I have that’s noticeably brighter than this one. This flashlight is like 2/3 of the brightness of my energizer light. Still; it’s considerably bright and DEFINITELY worth it.

DSC: I think this is the 5th AAA EDC light I've purchased through Amazon and I think it is the worst, AND worst value, out of the bunch! (My ThruNites are great and my Lumintop is also fantastic and my Olight is amazing - I'd say the best and best value so far). This Hatori is TERRIBLE by comparison, much larger and A TINY fraction of the brightness for more money also by far - and apparently totally dishonest with a lumen claim of 500 versus the claimed 90 of the brightest Olight of mine (i3E) v claimed 120 of the Lumintop (EDC01) and ThruNites (Ti3) that are seemingly almost as bright by my eye)... The Olight seems the brightest of my bunch while also being the smallest and least costly by a lot, amazingly. The only thing that I miss with it is the multiple brightness, and strobe flash, option of the ThruNite Ti3, and slightly the push-button switch sole 'benefit' of this Hatori. The Lumintop does have a carabiner and glow in the dark o-ring (and odd candle function mostly made useless by the inability to carry the glow in the dark candle cap piece when not in use on the front end and with the key ring attached on the tail end.
