PAK: Not easy to find locally, so appreciate quality, quantity, and reasonable price. Used primarily to make chai tea. Works well. Would be nice to have different packaging. Good, tight container needed when first opened for use.

Retired guy: Who would have known? This spice has made my morning coffee perk up even more! I add 1 teaspoon of this Cardamom spice to my coffee and truly enjoy the unique and pleasant taste that results! I really like the flavor and welcome the tasteful change!

ISIS: I am not a biologist but It looks like a black cardamon. It definitely differ from the color, smell and taste of the green cardamon I am buying for years. See two pictures with this dark coarse grounded powder in the attached pictures---this is Rani Cardamom (aka black cardamom). Two other pictures are of a Amazon's "Simply Organic" green cardamom (real cardamom) , you see the difference immediately.
Search online for pictures of grounded green and black cardamom, you will notice the same difference.
I am not saying this is bad product. But if you are used to buy an expensive green cardamom you may find this one very disappointing. This cardamom has a much stronger and intense "toothpaste" flavor, very annoying long minty aftertaste.
Update: I wanted to give it a try for two more weeks and I must say that I can't stand this taste anymore.
The taste and smell of menthol is so strong that I basically stopped adding it to my coffee. It feels like someone put a toothpaste in my coffee.
