Rosey: I made this into cupcakes instead of cake. I skipped the coconut oil and used a little apple sauce for moisture instead. Turned out perfectly. Would definitely buy again.

Johanne Poirier: It was a hit with our family, bought this as a birthday cake, for which I made a keto frosting from scratch to put on it. I myself am diabetic but has been 3 yrs I am off diabetic medications and control it with nutrition, so Keto foods made with almond flour are best for my diabetes. All 3 of my stepsons are now pre diabetic, one of then went in a coma from DKA (diabetic ketoacidosis) in Feb, so he is not usually a big fan of Keto foods, but he loved this cake, so I sent his wife a link to this cake mix so they can buy it. This was my 1st time using this snack cake mix and I loved it also, our diabetes numbers were great after eating this very Keto friendly snack. Notice portion control is a mmust when diabetic so wolfing this down would not be a good thing, but it is nice to know that a portion is diabetes safe for us, even with the frosting on top of it. It was easy to make also. Highly recommend it. Just remember what works for one diabetis person may not work for others, but in our family it worked.

Bonito: For a cake that diabetic friendly it sure tasted like it had a the sugar and sweetness like other good tasting cake. Expect it doesn't have no added sugar. 👍🏽

Rachel: I made this cake as a birthday cake for me. I put it in 9” tin, so probably should have made a second one to layer it. I made buttercream using erythritol powdered sugar, and this cake tasted great. It has a slight coconut taste to it but the rest of my family (who aren’t in keto) enjoyed it.

Arpeggio GardenArpeggio Garden: With a diabetic in the house, it was a real treat to make chocolate Smith Island Baby cakes for Valentines. The quantity was just right for two 4" cakes (5 thin layers each). Not enough mix here to make a decent size layer cake.
Taste, texture, and bake were perfect. We used 4 eggs to make it a little denser. It occurred to me later that adding a tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder would have made it even more tasty.
BUT, for 12.99, those were expensive cakes! Heck, I can buy two lobster tails for less! It was a very nice treat, and I'd buy again if the price were more competitive (7.99?). But this has inspired me to look for good keto cake recipes from scratch. It can be done!

Avery T: Great stuff. This is the second Good Dee's product I've tried. The first was the fudge brownies (not chocolate snack cake, they're different but look similar). The instructions call for coconut oil but I took a risk and used butter. I figured that would be okay because my fudge brownie packaging said use either/or, not sure why this one didn't. But butter works fine. I wanted this to be as close to cake as possible and didn't want any coconut essence involved (not a huge coconut fan). This cake is moist and delicious. I don't have an 8 inch glass baking dish or pan so I used my 8 inch cast iron skillet and it worked just fine!! I also like that I can slice it into wedges. This tastes like a high quality gluten free dessert (almond flour). No complaints here. Just don't exactly anticipate this to taste like birthday cake from the super market. Texture, moisture, and flavor wise it's almost like carrot cake minus the carrots. Definitely fills a void! Love having these in the house. They are pricey but they are fool proof and 2 out of 2 desserts I've tried are great. Can't hate that. A lot of low carb recipes I try online from random people can often fall or short or be very broad...
