Nicole McM: What a great workout this game provides. I couldn’t believe how much you move around. It is a great cardio workout. It is so much fun that you don’t realize you are getting a workout.

Weezee 25: I was hoping for a 20 or 30 minute workout. It goes into too many stages and you have to always stop and set up the next thing, you don't just keep going for a steady workout.

Cheryl M: It arrived more quickly than I thought it would, so that was a pleasant surprise. I do like the game overall, but I wish there were better instructions on how to actually do dances when they are on the screen. I have a tough time following along, but I think with practice and a little memorizing, it should get better. I do appreciate the trainer and the daily activity he gives me. It's a nice change of pace from my other exercise games and it keeps my routine from getting anything but boring.

S. Hawkins: I like to consider myself a minor expert in Wii workouts, having tried Wii Fit, Wii Sports Active, Wii Sports Active: More Workouts, Wii Sports Active II and Gold's Gym Cardio Workout. Of those, the ones I found the most useful and enjoyable were the last two, but I was starting to lose my enthusiasm for hearing my coach tell me to keep up with him when I was ahead of him, or the boxing coach tell me to pick a harder lesson next time when he picked the lesson for me. I had avoided the Gold's Gym Dance Workout to this point primarily because I cannot dance, but after reading reviews that indicated there was a cardio boxing element, I decided to give it a try.

Ok, so, the first couple of workouts were kinda rough. Or, to be honest, really rough. I laughed so hard I cried, I must admit, because I had no idea what was going on, and even the supposed walk-through dance workouts were incredibly fast and I ended up stumbling around a lot. However, I have now been using this program for about a month, unlocked all the advanced workouts, and I am still finding it challenging and entertaining (with a few notable exceptions that I will detail later). After you grasp some of the basic...

Isabelle: This game is perfect for those who want to work a sweat while having fun. It takes a few sessions to familiarize yourself with the latin moves, but once you get them, they're a lot of fun, and you feel like you're really latin-dancing!

You really don't need to be a latin dancer to do this workout. People who are complaining that this game is too hard just because they didn't get the moves the first time they tried it have to understand that, like in any dance class, you don't become a pro in the first 5 minutes. It takes a little bit of PRACTICE - which is normal.

I would highly recommend this game to anyone who doesn't like gyms, but wants to be motivated by a personal trainer who shows you the moves. It doesn't even feel like a workout to me, because I'm having fun, and that's why I love it!

Janelle: A large part of the reason I bought this was because I really enjoy the Gold's Gym Cardio Workout for Wii. Overall I really do like this, but there are a few things to note... First, the "tutorials" don't really stop to teach you the steps and moves for the dance routines. The pace for the dance routines is quick and you're expected to pick it up quickly. I chose to come at it with the attitude that so long as I was moving, pure repetition would eventually have me doing the steps at the right time and in the right order. It takes some time, but I have noticed that happening. I am loving the dance routines and the cardio boxing, especially with the variety of songs that this includes. The biggest disappointment for me has been with the games. The action of the remote doesn't always seem to be picked up for the avatar and the graphics here are a little disappointing.

Hummingbirder: There are tutorials. There are personal trainers. The personal trainer chooses workouts, starting fairly easy given the player's weight and age, and building to more difficult workouts. There are mini-games to play individually or within a workout. Players can create workouts. Yes, workouts, plural!

The variety the player can build with this game is awesome, especially given the fact no more than a nunchuk is requred to get started. The balance board is required for some activities. Players can follow the tutorials or a personal trainer, choose personally-created workouts, or just play by picking and choosing.

Players can dance, box, jump rope, row a kayak, get chased by lions, and swordplay. The game also offers an opportunity to do a heart rate check every 15 minutes or so. The player can guarantee variety by choosing from an array of activities.

The music is fun, the graphics are the best I've seen so far for a Wii fitness game, and exercises can be modified.

This is a fitness game one can use for a very long time without burning out. I recommend it very highly, with one proviso: The warm-ups and cool-downs are too short. Do a bit of warming up and...

Christine Amsden: I was a little nervous when I ordered this game. I wanted something fun, something that would get my heart rate up, and maybe even teach me some dance moves, but I'll be perfectly honest -- I'm out of shape and I have no rhythm. This is why I don't dance publically but love the wii -- an opportunity to embarrass myself in the privacy of my living room to my heart's content and nobody knows it but me. I have a short attention span, so have long since grown bored of Wii Fit, DDR, Wii Cheer, and a couple of other exercise programs barely worthy of mention.

Why was I nervous? Quite simply, because a few reviewers reported that this game wasn't for people who didn't already know how to dance. For that reason, I had this in my shopping cart for a month before I cliked "buy". Too bad I didn't get over my wariness sooner.

To the naysayers: I see your point. This is not an easy game or an easy workout. There aren't easy on-screen guides with 4 possible places to stomp your foot. With a wii mote in each hand and your feet on the floor, you are expected to follow all manner of footwork from the basic to the complex. The tutorials works like this: slowly, feet only, for 3 moves,...
