With this seal, you can trust that your garage door will remain safe and secure for years to come. sgtslag: My old bottom seal had a foam rod inside of it. I installed this seal, with the rubber molded tube inside, and I saw daylight at each end, when the door was closed. Not sure it was the seal's fault, or issues with my door, or the concrete floor not being consistently level/flat.
I cut off two 6-inch sections of the old foam rod, applied White Lithium Grease to them, and I inserted them in each end. When I closed the door after that, the daylight was gone, and a really good seal was achieved!
I got a spray can of White Lithium Grease, and I sprayed it inside the T-track channels on the bottom of my door. I had a 2nd person pulling the seal across the door bottom, while I fed it into the T-track. The metal channel cut into the seal, every so often. We had to pull it slowly across the door bottom, while I held the seal in a folded position, to avoid it catching, and being cut, by the metal channel. It worked pretty well.
I had a 2nd seal for my 2nd garage, and I repeated the same process on that one. The White Lithium Grease, sprayed into the T-track, worked superbly to ease the new seals into position.
I avoided using a screw to lock the seal into...

FrankFrank: A little shorter than 20ft maybe 19.5 Feet. Definitely need silicon spray and a second and preferably third person to install. Takes about 10 minutes to install. Arrives tightly squashed in a roll and appears to be damaged but once installed it’s fine and has a good shape to it. The end lugs are 8mm.

Mark SMark S: Got this door seal to replace one that rodents had chewed through.
When I unrolled it (it shipped rolled up), I thought the width (not the length) was way too wide to fit my door. Also the little T's that slide into the door seemed like they were too small. Turns out that it fits great all around.
Update: While rooting around in the garage, I found the little piece that was left over from the original seal to compare with the little piece that was left over from this seal. You can see the difference in the attached picture.
I made sure that I brushed out any dirt in the channels that the seal slides into. I also shot a little silicone lubricant in there to help it glide along. This door is approximately 16 feet wide, and I would say the first 6-7 feet went on pretty easily. After that, I needed help. I fed the seal into the channels and my helper pulled at the end. That ended up working pretty well.
Occasionally, one of the T's would not fit in quite right and I would have to pull back on the seal and get things lined up correctly.
This seal is a lot better than the one I was replacing because this one has the inner channel. It makes a much better seal on the...

Grace: I got the 16ft. It was straight forward to install, however, it would have been easier to have another person to pull, maybe the 10ft would easily slide with one person.
I took an advice from another review and made sure to put a lot of WD40 on both the door and the garage seal.
I cannot say how durable it is because it's been only a month I installed it.
I installed a floor seal prior to changing the garage door seal, but there is still a gap from where the water is coming through, I thought the seal would totally prevent it, but no.
Overall, it was a good buy because my old seal needed to be changed and I am happy with the new one regardless of a little bit of water leak.

Allan: It’s a little tricky to install but if you follow my guidelines, you will get it done and it’s a lot less expensive than having a door company do it. The installation manual for your door opener is available on the internet if you need to adjust the door closing pressure.
You need to clean the groves in the track on your door completely, preferably with compressed air while using eye protection. I use a spray bottle of Dawn dish washing soap in the kitchen and elsewhere in the house for general cleaning. Spray the solution in the groves in the track then start inserting the new seal into the groves watching that the new seal doesn’t slip out as you go. Keep the groves and the seal wet with the soap solution as you go unfortunately you need the soap solution to keep the trac and seal wet and keep it moving freely but it also lets the seal slip out of the trac. My door is 16 feet long so its very important to keep the seal wet as you go otherwise it will get harder and harder to pull the seal as you insert the seal in the groves. It’s a two-person job especially on a 16-foot door one person to pull the seal and one person to make sure the seal stays in the groves and push...
