I love this little air purifier! It is perfect for my small bedroom and very quiet. I am allergic to dust mites and it keeps the air in my room dust-free and clean. I use to have a big clunky one that was so noisy, This one is compact and sits across my bed on a little table. It is powerful, has 3 settings, a timer, a night light and is so much better!

Got two of these to filter my brother's disgusting cigarette smoke. It does that pretty well, and other scents/particulates too (like burned food) -- although as you may imagine, it only does it quickly on the "high" fan setting. the "high" is relatively loud (slightly less than a window fan, but more than the average desktop computer). The medium fan setting is *nearly* silent (you have to be right next to it to hear it) and okay at filtering. I would say medium would be okay for your average sensitive listener. The low setting is utterly silent, I mean I can stand right next to it looking at it and barely hear the tiniest murmur -- but astonishingly slow to filter. This is appropriate for the extraordinary ears among us.
Device doesn't feel very sturdy and putting the bottom off/on (where the filter's at) is kind of awkward to align. But it works okay.
