Jo: I have had the scanner 4 months. It replaced a flatbed and I am much more productive. It is fast and the software (Apple Mac OS) is easy to use. I am the sole user, scanning receipts and contracts etc. It does not work if your receipt is crumpled which is as I would expect. It is very compact and it folds away to occupy little desk space which for me is important. I would recommend for single user or small office. Scan quality is good for OCR. I use FineReader software. I use it on a wired USB.

Windchyme50: I. MY original review of a few months ago: iFor many years I used a predecessor, an old S1300 scanner, and it was a workhorse. It did nto really take many pages at at time, scanned relatively slowly and sometimes choked, but 95% of the time it fit my needs well. Most important, it was EASY to save scanned documents EXACTLY where I wanted them to go. This IX 1500, in contrast, reverses those two types of performance. This one scans super fast, can take a wad of fat or very thin papers and zips them out without error. BUT.. and it's a big but, it seems impossible to figure out how to consistently save documents exactly where I want them. I have many client folders to put docs in every week, but the scanner software is not consistent: it only sometimes allows me to browse to the correct folder. It wants to be helpful the way Gilligan was "helpful" on the island and so tends to mess things up. Why in this day and age any company would assume that the default save location should be in a default folder in Documents (in a Mac) is perplexing. There seems to be no reasonable or simple way to find a fix and a scan of the reviews here shows that many people have this...

Karen Boswell: I've been using the Fujitsu Scansnap for years and these scanners are a work horse! I just re-purchased a new one and the quality is even more amazing especially with the wireless scanning feature. It's fast, simple and easy to use. I would recommend this scanner to anyone wants a scanner that is efficient and gets the job done!

oma5: The Fujitsu iX1500 was recommended to us by our document management service provider and, well, it's a really great scanner! It takes on practically all the paper I can throw at it! Old patient charts with frayed edges, mixed paper styles, mixed sizes of paper... it all goes through at about 30 double sided pages per minute (with only a few minor exceptions (nothing is 100% perfect!!!). This scanner is worth every penny!!!

DSB:
I was hesistant after reading reviews about purchasing the iX1500, but I am glad I did. I have not encountered any of the noted flaws with feeding jams or software other users have thus far. I am fairly IT savvy and expect this system to perform well. I am using this for the home office on a Windows 10 PC and the software loaded and updated without issue. Wireless connections and setup was straight forward as it gets. I set up OCR when scanning documents and could find them via keyword searches without issues. I do enjoy that the software works well and doesn't have a ton of deep menus. The online user manual could use an update since it is broken across many individual pages instead being available as a single webpage.
One thing I did not expect was how small it packs up when you fold over the feeding tray which closes it up into a bread loaf sized piece. Scanning on both sides at 600 dpi takes only about 3 seconds for an 8"x11" document which seems nice to me. I thought about the price tag for a bit wondering why it is over $400 given the hardware isn't ridiculously high-end and doesn't have bluetooth speakers or make sandwiches. I figure the software...

David Trofimuk: It will accept all types different sizes and types of paper. Rarely jams, but if it does you just continue from where you left off. You do not have to re-start the entire job. User friendly. I once called the support line and was very impressed with their knowledge and helpful friendly advice.
