Ben: This scanner requires you to join up to an account with the company who makes it. You cannot scan without an account. Their website makes it clear. Therefore you cant use it without an active internet connection because you will need to log on. The user face is all digital, you cannot bypass this. I could understand if some features wouldn't be available and it recommended an account, but no it outright forbids you from using it entirely without an account logged in.

Noel: I use this scanner at work. Most of my scans are of the end of day accounting which are emailed to our head office.

This machine allows me to put in all different sizes. Eg A4 balance sheet along with all the card machine slips. It will scan them all at the same time, both sides if needed but it works that out for itself, it will them email them all as 1 file or separate files all with the press of a button.

This scanner has saved me 30 minutes a day so will basically pay for itself in weeks and therefore it makes this scanner one of the cheapest on the market.

A nice feature is the ability to edit the PDF documents so if you forget a PO number you can enter it on the PDF scan. It is a small but important feature for me.

SweattSweatt: I been using the Raven Pro Document Scanner for over a month now with easy. I configured 3 destinations, Raven Cloud, Evernote, and google drive. Either through the desktop app or on the scanner touch screen, you can scan to one or more, I have a profile setup to scan to all 3 destinations right now. All the documents are sent to each without any issues, so far.

I would like to comment on the name convention for a doc is limited to a few different configurations, prefix, date, and suffix automatically. I has a meeting with a person at Raven to go over a few items I which I could do more with the scanner with naming each doc better with some kind of AI or OCR reader to pull a name or something within the document being scanned. Also ask to see if they will have an open api that a developer could use to add more information to something within the doc naming convention and/or meta data to the file.

I requested too to see if they would integrate with notion.so because I have been using this app for awhile now and want to remove myself from Evernote totally but as of right now I cannot because Evernote has a good destination with Raven scanner. We will see if they add...

Martin D: Looking to update my current scanner (ScanSnap iX500) which I have had for a number of years, but instead of staying with the same manufacturer, I went with an alternative which I have heard good things about.

The Raven Pro Document Scanner is a very different scanner and so far has surpassed my expectations.

Easy to set up.
Wifi (2GHz and 5GHz) + Wired.
large Control panel with an easy-to-follow interface.
Not so bulky Software to install.
Good quality Scans.
Easy to configure the destination of scans (cloud + local)

I could go on all day with the Pros the only downside is you can't fold it closed which is not a problem for me really for such a good scanner.

Marcos Eduardo Velázquez Hernández: Lo compre para una pequeña oficina que tengo montada en casa, el volumen de escaneos no debe de ser menor de 500 hojas por semana, aunque en ocasiones puede que supere las 1,000 y hasta la fecha sin problemas (llevo aproximadamente un mes con el). Ha resultado bastante facil e intuitivo para todo mi equipo de trabajo usarlo. El servicio de nube es excelnte y me permite clasificar y ordenar todos mis archivos, definitivamnte una compra que recomiendo bastante, optimizó mucho mis tiempos de escaneado, anteriormente tardaba hasta 30 minutos haciendo lo que con este escaner puedo hacer en 2. Si requieres escanear una gran cantidad de hojas esta es una muy buena elección

I took delivery of the Raven Scanner Pro on August 29th, 2019. I assume you are looking for a scanner of similar feature set which brought you to this review. I, too, was looking at this scanner, and before I wrote this, I found just three reviews on Amazon and one partial review on YouTube, which was more of an unboxing video. I think that video did more damage to my purchase than any review I have read on Amazon.

This scanner is a little more expensive than the Fujitsu iX1500, which I consider being the gold standard of document scanners. I have this scanner and have purchased three other Fujitsu scanners before that scanner. When I want a document scanner, my first choice has been Fujitsu and for good reasons.

This scanner gave me pause. It did so because of a feature I saw which is that the scanner has no required software for a personal computer. That was enough to catch my attention. Each time I buy a document scanner, I have to make sure it will work with my Apple Macintosh. Most times, the manufacturer provides...
