suzanne Koskinen: Used the scanner for a large amount of paper forms that I had laying around that needs to be stored in case future viewing was needed. This did the trick to be able to throw out all that paper after scanning it in and storing on the computer. As each scanner has its own max paper feed holder scanned copies can be "linked" together using website software that is included or (off label use) you can add another bunch of paper to the feed as it gets down to the last bit of paper and it will scan 40+ sheets

OCR option is great. Able to read messy handwriting for quick reference.

Other scanners were researched. This came on top with functionality and was great with the large display

JG: Needed to scan a number of documents and didn’t want to use existing flatbed scanner. Had been looking at the Fujitsu and then saw this and decided the better price was worth a shot.

I am really impressed. Easy setup, loads of guides and tutorials and the ability to send to so many destinations as pre-sets is great. The unit is more compact than I expected which is a bonus.

Really pleased so far.

Flying JackoladeFlying Jackolade: This is just the coolest device I have to import documents. I had a little trouble setting up the location of where i wanted my scans to go but Raven technical support walked me through and I was good to go. great service for a great product. I just love this thing. I always imported documents with my HP 8720 but it always gave me grief especially trying to make a PDF. Well the Raven does it all for you. You just have to find a good PDF program which is difficult to find. Adobe use to be a one time purchase and now you need to renew every year. I bought another PDF Program it is so so but forget that, this is a raven review. Just trust me the Raven will simplify your document scanning life. FAST, ACCURATE, NEAT. I love it.

Tree Dude: EDIT: Not really the fault of the machine or the designers, but this is the PERFECT scanner for procrastinators. I just scan the document to Raven Cloud, then ... well, then I intend to login and save the files to the appropriate places on my laptop. But so far I've just let many of them sit there, waiting. It should nag me with reminders or something "You haven't reviewed your scanned documents in X days." Still, a great device. Just not magic.

I just received and set up the scanner, signed up for Raven Cloud, and started scanning. The assembly of the machine was easy except attaching the input tray, which was a little tricky to snap in. I connected the scanner to my home network via ethernet so I can't say how well the WiFi setup and connection works. It recognized the network instantly over ethernet.

Scan quality is excellent (admittedly a small sample), OCR was outstanding - better than Adobe or anything else I've used. Speed is amazing - as long as I remember to press okay / send.

OCR of a complex document (actually the quick start instructions for the scanner, laid out in "story boxes" with graphics) to a thumb drive took a while. Probably because OCR...

Rodney: I was a little cautious about this one as it was a bit more expensive than others, but it was worth it. I primarily wanted a scanner for scanning documents/tax/expenses and do NOT want to connect it to a computer. I want the scans to go to google drive so i can access on whatever computer i am on.
This took 5 minutes to setup. The scanner is super quick and will scan either single sided or both sides. I scanned 12 pages in less than a minute, it sent the PDF to google drive and i was done.
Pros:
- Big screen makes it easy to set options
- paper feeder for multiple sheets
- setup for google drive or mail
- can output to PDF or JPG
- Double sided scanning a real bonus
- Scans are clear and clean (unlike taking a photo with my phone)
- Quick. 200/300 DPI are super quick. 600 DPI takes longer but 1 page still took less than a minute to scan (double sided) and send to drive
- Setup was super quick. Take the tape off, plug it in, setup wifi and then (on computer) create account @ raven.com and connect Google Drive. Then login on scanner and you're done.

Cons:
- bit pricier than other scanners

Tory B.: I’m a professional genealogist, and need to scan vital records and sensitive documents often. I’ve used many a scanner, but never anything quite like this. I wasn’t sure what to expect with Raven, but I’m impressed. I can without a doubt say this outperforms the more well known name brands that I’ve used, and offers a significantly better interface.

The scanner is running a custom Android software. It’s extremely easy to use. There are various scanning qualities, options, sizes, and more. It also has a companion app so you can access your scans iOS, Android, Mac & PC.

It is able to scan directly to a wide variety of file sharing services, including Google Drive, Neat, One Drive and more.

What I found most interesting is that the scanner comes with unlimited file storage directly through Raven. I thought it was going to be a lame gimmick, but when I tried it for myself, it turned out to be great. When you scan to Raven, it organizes chronologically and allows you to edit PDFs within the web app. The web app also allows you to stamp and sign documents, which is something I was surprised to find.

Il s’agit de deux bonnes machines. Je vais énumérer les pour et les contre de chacune d’elles :

-Remplis automatiquement le nom des fichers et les informations
-A une application
Contre :
-Ne traite pas bien les longs documents (par exemple les grosses factures)
-Ne remplis pas bien automatiquement le nom de ficher et les informations
-Nécessite un ordinateur et est compliqué à configurer
-L’application ne m’a pas impressionné
-Les feuilles scannées ne sont pas bien maintenues par la machine (voir vidéo)
