Larry Anderson: Spent quite a bit of time researching water filters and determined SK99 was the best choice for us. The install was very easy even for a 71 year old grandpa that is not necessarily handy. ( and who likes to work under a sink??) Before installing I removed the filters to make sure I understood the process before the need arises. Quick and simple! I was pleased that there were extra parts included to meet the needs of various hose lengths and coupling sizes. I am concerned that the fittings on the unit are plastic and may not hold up over time. Taking the advise of another rater, I attached a 1" x 2" to my cabinet wall to mount the unit to and I used part of the packing foam to provide filter support between the unit and the wall and I think these steps add to the stability of the mounted unit. The SK99 replaced a high end unit for which filters are no longer available ($150+ apiece when they were) and neither my wife nor I can tell any difference in the water taste between the two units.

Finally I will note that there is a slight decrease in cold water pressure that is apparent as you move the single handle faucet from hot to cold. Not a big deal in my case but it is...

Howard T: I had no problem installing the unit which took me about 10-15 mins. Everything I needed was provided in the way of extra hoses (long and short) and adapters. I was a little concerned that the unit would be too big to fit under the sink with all the usual stuff I have under there but it was fine. I can't imagine there will be any problems changing the cartridges based on the help video shown in this listing and on Frizzlife's website. I don't know if it was a promotion but I have also been gifted a new replacement filter for registering my unit, which has also given me a 150% extended warranty. All in all very happy with the purchase and also happy that I am able to make a difference in my daughter's consumption of toxic chemicals & metals.

Adam Irrgang: The size is great for the space I chose for it. I like the 3-stage design and the list of contaminants it captures. I compared the list to my water supplier's last published analysis report and concluded this should make my already pretty good public water even better. The flow rate is better than most comparable filters. I intend to run two units in parallel to make sure it doesn't restrict the flow of cold water to my kitchen faucet, refrigerator ice maker and garage drinking fountain, which are all plumbed downstream of this filter. I figure two in parallel will reduce the risk of impeding flow, and should extend the time span between having to replace filter elements. I'm installing these in a new house, and haven't connected the main water supply yet, so I haven't proven they work yet, but the design and quality appear good. That combined with the good Amazon reviews gives me good confidence. I did locate them in my climate controlled garage with flashing around them to minimize the consequences of any leaks/cracks/bursting, since nothing lasts forever.
I will update this review if they develop any problems.

Nico: i really liked that this included literally everything needed for the installation including hoses with good lengths, reducers, thread tape. I had to move the filters into another cabinet due to space constrains from the drains and this being rather large. I didn't like that the pressure regulator is very flimsy and does not inspire a ton of confidence. I also had some leaking issues with the included reducer, which i was able to fix with self fusing silicone tape rather than using the included teflon thread tape. I will say this is probably my fault though, i am not a plumber. The water taste has drastically improved with this, and i prefer it over the Britta & Zerowater jugs i was using before. The TDS pretty much remained unchanged. I would give this an 8.5/10 but didn't want to reduce it to 4/5.

GRK: I found the filter supply line easy to do install. This is because there are no obstructions to deal with. The outlet line can be a different experience, as in my case. My refrigerator is next to a dishwasher that is located between the filter and the outlet line So, obviously I had to purchase a new water line to reach the distance of the two. I can't tell you the difficulty ot trying to fish the line behind the dishwasher. I had to drill a new hole to accommodate the new line. Then do the fishing to the fridge, drilling another hole to expose the line. I realize that you can't cover every type of installation, but a warning could possibly be addressed to what may be a common problem.

I would like for you to find a way to indicate when a filter should be replaced. I don't know if it is possible to have some type of indicator that may by flow rate or some other means. The guidelines that you provide are okay. but not for all applications. I am using a well which does have sediments. Consequently, I don't know which filter needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, your guidelines are generally okay, yet don't of maybe can't provide this information.

Joseph F.: This filter is essentially the same as their TW line but instead of replacing the whole cartridge, you replace just the inside filter media. Very smart as this reduces maintenance cost and plastic waste. I compared this multistage to many other brands and this seems to be the best value/bang-for-your-buck option. It removes everything I would want from city water (chlorine, chloramine, fluoride, agricultural run-offs, heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, etc). The 3 separate filters is key if you want to remove all these contaminants. Most 2 stage and single stage filters sacrifice some removal, but even the "better" all-in-one filters end up costing you more because you must replace the whole expensive filter even if only some of the media layers has some serviceable life remaining. This is similar to inkjet printers where you replace just the color that is out vs the all-in-one ink cartridge.

The hardness in city water is typically beneficial calcium and magnesium. When I wrote to the company, they stated that anything 171 PPM (10 grains), I could expect to have lime scaling that can result in more frequent stage 1 filter replacements. With a cost of roughly $15, that's a fair...
