Kindle Customer: Excellent book. My aunt,Major Elizabeth J. Orr was a flight nurse with the Army Air Corp in England during the war. She died from ovarian cancer in 1962 when I was just a year old. I never got to hear her stories about what happened during the war but this book helped to shine some light on that era for me. Thank you for writing it. They really were Flying Angels!

Sheila Short: Love Danielle Steel's books, she is my favourite author. Well researched story line, all different, no two are the same. I've got a lot of books to read. You must buy.

Dutch: Very well written with Pearl Harbor as the topic, Danielle Steel (DS) has made a wonderful story out of the sadness of the tragic event that happened on December 7, 1941.
It's good to know (and I hope that this is correct) that there was a MEATS (Medical Air Evacuation Transport Squadron) during those terrible days and years that followed (WW II).
Please read the book, you will learn a lot and be thankful that you gained more information regarding that terrible day in December 1941.

Nurse SportsFan: I've recently been on a Danielle Steel kick, and I found this book completely different from any of her other books. I'm certain she used a ghostwriter, the writing style is very unlike her usual books. As a nurse myself, and as a fan of WWII books, I love reading about nursing during WWII. It's so educational and interesting. This book didn't give a lot of details. I highly recommend reading any of Soraya Lane's WWII books, they are packed with details, heart pounding action, and provide a lot of unknown but verifiable facts. This book was good, I did read it pretty much in one sitting. It just was missing some of the action I was expecting, and some of the nursing details I was hoping for. The characters are very likable, and their stories are compelling. It just wasn't quite as detailed of a book and it was not Danielle Steel's usual style. I do recommend it.

Netty: This is a lovely story of heartache and courage as well as love that develops in the horrors of war.
It was a shame when it finished and I would have loved to here more of their stories.

gilly cox: What an interesting book to read. Full of all the components that make a great Danielle Steel novel but set in the second world war with excellent detail of the dangerous lives of those who became known as the Flying Angels. What courage their real counterparts had shown. Thank you Danielle for bringing these heroic angels to the fore.

Linda J.: Excellent book, as always from Danielle Steele. I enjoyed reading about the young American women during WWII.
They were brave beyond measure and the novel is certainly one that could have been non-fictional.
