mark: You spend all that money on fish tanks fish, plants, filters and then we buy a cheap light , what a difference this light had made my tank look, plants look greener, fish seam to have more colour and all my tank lights up, watch a few YouTube videos on how to set the up on your phone, easier than I thought, set the colours I wanted and times I wanted too, had this light for about 3wks and so far so good, for me a very good buy

Angel: This light can be set to auto, manual or pro. I was going to try to explain what these do but instead I highly recommend Bentley Pascoes 3 part video series on YouTube covering what this beast of a light can do instead. Yes they are 15mins each but your fish and plants will thank you. What he doesn't know isn't worth knowing. This mans knowledge is legendary. Paula F: I bought this to help plants grow. I have a dennerle CO2 system (which is the easiest system I could find), and while the plants DID grow, algae grew out of control. Algae grew on everything. I had to cut parts of the real plants off because I couldn't get the algae off. I put my old light back up, and it's doing a lot better. This light has many, many settings, so it is very possible I couldn't get the setting right for what I have.

Randy: From what I have read about if the power go's out it will not keep you set time to go off and on till you turn it off and then back on My wife got without asking me if I wanted it she so cool when she saw it in my list
So, I sent it back and never opend it all the seals in tacked I'm thinking it's a great light but to expensive and wont keep your timer setting if power go out?

John: Good light -- bright-ish, good color. A 36 x 18 footprint planted tank needs two units.

There is a little bit of a learning curve on the app, but works fine.

I had a unit that failed about 8 months in -- the button on the top failed and the light cycled through all its settings even in the absence of user input. Fluval replaced the unit under warranty, which was a good experience though I had to wait about three days for them to initially respond to my claim. After that the process was relatively quick.

The lights do not automatically turn back on after a power cut, but rather have to be manually relinked in the app. It is hard to understand why they would be designed this way, and this is a shortcoming that gets a star knocked off the rating.

I would purchase these lights again.

Me sorprende el valor con el que algunos de estos productos llegan al mercado, no creo que esta tecnología LED demande precios tan altos. El diseño y equipamiento no es tan sofisticado como para justificarlo. Pero todavía los hay más caros de otras marcas, entonces es una decisión individual según las posibilidades.

Lo que más me gustó fue el hecho de que la luz era adecuada para lo que se proponía, siendo de espectro completo y teniendo una App relativamente completa (pero no siempre fácil de entender y/o trabajar). Lo que menos me gustó fue el ruido que emiten algunos de los transformadores/fuentes de alimentación, un silbido agudo que se intensifica con la máxima potencia, y que se nota en las habitaciones de la casa donde hay más silencio. Lo curioso es que no todas las unidades sufren de esto, hay algunas que son más silenciosas, donde hay que poner el oído para escuchar, pero otras son muy llamativas y se escuchan a distancia. La fuente de alimentación también se calienta mucho, dejando al usuario preocupado por la posible vida útil de los componentes,...

Deborah: I bought 2 of these - one for my 20g and one for my 55g. I also can’t believe I spent this much money on aquarium lights! However, I am thoroughly impressed!! Fish are supposed to have “lights out” so they can sleep, as they would in a natural habitat. What I’ve never liked is turning bright lights on in the morning and having my fish freak out at the immediate brightness - especially for the albinos. This system totally solves that problem. They emulate a natural light rhythm, sunrise, daytime, sunset, and nighttime, programmable from your smartphone using Bluetooth. It recognizes if you have more than one system, and it allows you to “name” each light for each tank and you can manually set the times and intensities of the lights. Once you save it, you don’t have to bother with it again. Yes, it’s an expensive system, but well worth the money. I couldn’t be happier. My goal is to get 2 more systems for my 2 other tanks, but I’m going to have to wait for that! I did not buy these on Amazon because I’m tired of their poor delivery service, so I bought them at Petco - the price is the same with free delivery.
