Marie: I have made yogurt with this several times already. We had a family supper and even my grandchildren loved the yogurt (I made coconut milk yogurt) so much that I bought them a maker too. Only down side is it doesn’t have an automatic shutoff. But because yogurt making is not time sensitive its not a problem. A great product!

jamie elizabeth evans: So great, i ordered another to keep up with the demand. This is my first time making yogurt. I ordered powdered culture from amazon and made coffee flavored yogurt and it turned out perfect. It tastes like real slightly sour yogurt. The stuff nowadays tastes like pure sugar. The directions are pretty good. I boiled a liter of milk, let cool slightly, added 3 tablespoons of instant coffee and the culture packet and placed in the yogurt maker for 15 hours. Then cooled for 2 hours. I added splenda to the jar just before eating. I was afraid adding sweetener before fermentation would mess with the bacteria and cause it to not set right. Im so happy to have fresh yogurt with literally 3 ingredients. I just wish the machine was bigger so that i could make enough since the family devoured it. But hey, for the cost, i just got 2 ! :)

Ursa: I love that there are 7 glass jars and I put them through the dishwasher. I wash the plastic lids by hand, even though it says they're dishwasher safe. I won't take any chances with plastic lids, though they're sturdy. I wish they were 8 ounce jars rather than 6, but it's okay. I love the heat temperature that it gets to. My old one never got as warm, and this one is warmer, and makes a good, solid yogurt. I like the instructions that tell to boil even pasteurized milk, because there can still be bacteria in it that wouldn't hurt the yogurt, but could throw the taste off some, instead of getting a purer taste. I like that the instructions tell that if you are using yogurt as a starter, to make sure that it doesn't contain gelatin and stuff, and to make sure that the good-til date is as far off into the future as possible. That's a good tip! I used Fage yogurt, that had No fillers and the sell-by date was nearly 2 months away for a small carton! The tips in this kit are many, and better than I've seen in other kit instructions. There are other great tips, too. from Alameda County: This machine holds 7 containers and works well. You have to leave your yogurt in it for 10 hours, cool it down and refrigerate. I often times don't use a machine and just place the containers in a pot of very hot water, turn off the heat first, cover the containers with the lid and cover the pot with a lid. I leave pot on top of stove (no flames) and after 10 hours the entire pot has already
cooled down and the yogurt jelled. So I do it both ways and it works. A recipe book comes with container and I have a recipe for Vietnamese Yogurt (extremely delicious!) too. I like the glass jars but don't always fill it to the top The lids are very good and safe.
