Amazon Customer: The yogurt maker makes perfect yogurt. I used the sieve to make Greek yogurt, it worked once. After that the sieve started leaking and now yogurt leaks into the whey so I have to put a coffee filter in there to make Greek yogurt. The coffee filter is too short so I have to make Greek yogurt in small batches. It works but not as seamless as I had hoped...

Rudy McFraud: I have made 4 - 5 batches so far, and the yogurt has turned out consistently great. I increased the straining time, and briefly use an electric whisk to get a nice, thick, creamy result. My overall cost of yogurt is now one-third of the price I was paying for store bought.

My main complaints are about the size. The size of the strainer is just a bit too small to hold a complete batch, so it takes a little more time to top up the strainer over 20 minutes or so. Second, I really wish the whole device was twice as large. I love the yogurt, but since it takes such a long time to make a batch, it would be more efficient to make larger batches. Despite these issues, I still consider this a five-star product.

T. Y: The media could not be loaded.  The machine is easy to use I bring the milk up to 40c and let sit for 8 or 9 hours in the machine. I don't bother with removing the liquid after it is done and after cooling in the fridge it comes out perfect. I've used the same yogurt culture from each batch and no issues there.

patlin: I bought this in Feb 2020 and did not use it until I came back from a Greek cruise in March. I had 'real' Greek yogurt many times on my vacation and was really pleased that this yogurt maker makes it just as well. I use it weekly.
Even though I am happy with it, if I need to get a replacement in the future, I will look for one where the milk can be scalded in the machine; not separately in a double-boiler. The current price is $25 more than I paid.

Little: Update: Editing to talk about my second and much improved batch - still rated 4 stars as original post. I still my pros and cons are accurate, though after getting the temperatures right and whisking more often while the milk was heating up, it left the yogurt maker looking like yogurt, rather than a watery clumpy mess like my first batch. Now my biggest problem is that I could not fit all the yogurt into the strainer and had to strain in two batches. Very happy with these results, though, because it really came out with a great texture (smooth but thick, not lumpy or watery) and tastes like the fage I used as a starter. My concerns now are perhaps to reduce slightly the amount of milk and amount of starter yogurt needed and also to try to find higher quality milk, since I just used whole milk that was from the grocery store. That might make everything a little better. I'm also really interested to try to reuse some of the yogurt made, which was impossible after that first monstrosity of a batch. I might not do that still for my next batch, just while I'm playing with ratios and quality of milk, but that's my ultimate goal. I'm also wondering if opening a sprinkle capsule of...

Serena: Originally, I gave this dandy little machine three stars. I was a newbie to making yogurt when I wrote my first review and now that I have worked with this product awhile I think my review was unfair. So, I erased it and am starting over.

At first, I thought making my own yogurt was too much trouble and good results were sporadic. But then, I moved part time to a place where lactose free yogurt made with real milk is impossible to get. There is plenty of soy, almond, coconut and who knows what available, but my husband says they taste terrible and only real milk yogurt has all the protein he wants and the flavor he likes. So, I got busy making yogurt for him with lactose free milk (2% or whole) and sometimes making regular milk Greek yogurt for myself.

One reason I think I had poor results is because the plain yogurts I bought just didn't work. I tried all different kinds and usually only the expensive types worked. Then, I discovered the freeze dried cultures for reasonable prices. I use the Bulgarian which can be purchased here--twelve to a box for less than quality cups of yogurt in the store.

Now, heating the milk. I hated this step and made okay yogurt...
