Philipp: Die "Axt" wurde für einen Wanderausflug mit Übernachtung in einer Schutzhütte gekauft. Durch das verbaute Material ist sie angenehm leicht. Dennoch liegt sie super in der Hand, lässt sich dank des Klingen- und Transportschutz auch problemlos an Sack und Pack befestigen. Zum verarbeiten von Ästen, und herstellen von Kleinholz prima geeignet. Könnte mir auch vorstellen, dass die Axt auch bei "größeren" Holzarbeiten unterstützen kann.

Scott: Stop looking for axes, stop looking at reviews. These are by far the best axes you can buy. Weighted perfectly, and pack a punch with the perfect geometry.
With previous wooden handled axes and solid fibre glass handles, I was suffering with pain from vibration/ shock in my wrists. I’ve not had this problem with the X7 or X27. The design prevents shock and vibrations.

Roosevelt67: I should have listened to the reviews for this hatchet. My intended use for a small hatchet; requires a more substantial one.
I am NOT the correct person to review this.
In the reviews I read; it was described as a camp/carving hatchet. I do neither; so I shouldn't have bought it.
It IS however; made just as nicely as all my other Fiskars splitting axes.

Alex: Great size for fitting in a bag when backpacking. Very portable. Certainly not the lightest thing in the world, but its compact size while still allowing for a good grip makes it functional.

The price is high, likely due the the economy of scale of such a niche product, but what backpacking themed product isn’t over priced?

It fit my needs well, im very happy with it.

Erik Crouch: A lot more expensive than what I've read people paying for these, but seeing as I can't find one anywhere else AND it's shipped international for free I can't complain much. That said, it's a fantastic little axe even at a high price. Light, handy, sharp, and a nice bright orange so it's much harder to lose! The sheath/carrier with multiple tethering/hanging options is really nice as well.

The only complaint I could think of would be that the axe arrived packaged with the sheath NOT on it, but the condition of the box suggests the blade edge was damaged before shipping. Not a big deal; less than a minute with a stone and it was completely remedied. I bought it to split small kindling cut to length with a saw and do small hammering jobs; it's done fine for that and more!
