Get yours today and start capturing stunning thermal images.

Frank R.: Used it a few times and it turned out that it is not really worth it. I tried a number of different settings and there is a clicking sound that seems to slow the video down a little.

M.O.: I was a bit skeptical since this camera was quite a bit cheaper than many thermal imaging cameras. I just wanted it as a way to find cold bridges and leaks in my house to decide which insulation improvements to make. I have not been disappointed.
Several different color schemes can be used. The screen highlights the temperature at the crosshairs, as well as the coldest and warmest part within the frame. The color scales seem to be relative to what is inside the frame. In other words, the same shade of blue or red don't necessarily have the same temperature when comparing two differently framed images. Operations g re quite straight forward, although the button navigation does not always seem very logical, but with a bit of trial and error you will be fine.
It can save the pictures too, but the resolution is not very high. For example, if you transfer the image to your laptop, the image size at 100% zoom will be more or less the same as on the initial LCD screen. So don't expect high resolution images.
When operating the camera, you can overlay a normal picture and you can set transparency of this in increments. However, the overlay doesn't seem to always align...

Stuey Reeve: As a roofer, I regularly investigate roof leaks and condensation / mould issues which are commonly mistaken for roof leaks. This Thermal camera has been used almost every day since I bought it - it's brilliant. I don't know how I managed without one of these cameras, and this one does everything I need. It helps me identify cold spots in buildings which are likely to condensate, and helps me find uninsulated areas without the need for invasive investigation.

Tom S.: Note that this is, well, was, my first thermal camera so I don't have anything to compare it against. But -
There is no manual range or range hold feature. This means that if you're moving the camera around to look for cold spots, the colors will constantly change drastically, so it's difficult to figure out what needs most attention.
Manual range adjustment would handle all sorts of circumstances, but at the very least, there needs to be a range hold. Preferably both. There are automatic temperature spots which help somewhat, but it's not enough.
Another minor issue - the charge port is Micro USB (I'll deal), but if you use a quality cable (eg. Anker) with a slightly larger connector, it doesn't want to stay plugged in. It does come with a cable that might fit better, but I didn't unwrap it to try it, as I was going to be returning it due to the range issue.
Otherwise, for the price (flash sale plus coupon), it's okay. Easy to use. No glaring issues with the menu system. Good resolution. Usable refresh rate. The screen quality is good. The live image overlay works and the amount of overlay is adjustable. Build quality feels good enough. There is a lens...

StillOnTheEdge: I purchased this when we bought a new home. Once the weather turned colder, we could feel the outside air coming in, but could not locate it.
This piece of equipment helped us to find the air leaks and seal them up. It has very likely paid for itself in heating and cooling savings.
Had an issue right near the end of the warranty where the unit would not charge. The manufacturer responded very quickly to my concern and got my unit back in action. Very satisfied customer.

LTLT: The media could not be loaded. The camera has wonderful clarity and the detail level is very good. The B&W photo attached was taken in complete darkness.
The different color palettes you can choose from make it very useful and the way you can blend the thermal and optical images at different intensities is amazing. There's one photo of my heater with no thermal and one with no optical. The no thermal still points out the high and low temps. The no optical is completely heat driven. I added a couple more in different degrees of blending.
The star of the show though is the software that comes with the camera. You set your palette and blending on the camera and take a picture. But once you load the picture into the software, you can change the palette and blending anyway you like. All the data is apparently there and the software lets you check the picture out in any variation you like. Once you see the best way for whatever you're doing you can then adjust the camera to the same settings so it's more useful for that task. The attached video is an example of that. I just got it today, read the manual, and can use all the features. Love it already and I haven't done...

PeterPeter: Take a look at the pictures. Flir does connect real image to thermal image and it does if fact seem to produce nice images… until both images don’t align properly. I used the calibration option, but if I changed angle, image was not aligned again. Flir Pro has two temperature range settings, higher range was used only for the fireplace.
In terms of image quality – HT-18 has highest thermal resolution sensor (220x160), then Flir Pro (160x120), and lastly Flir One (80x60). The way Flir fools you is that it takes photo in 1440x1080 resolution and then overlays the thermal image over it. HT-18 saves 240x320 pixel images so I needed to enlarge them for the comparison. I really like extra “heat” details that HT captures, as Flir seems to blur images too much (due to lower resolution thermal sensors), but HT-18 has smaller field of vision.
In terms of accuracy – it’s hard to tell since I have those three devices and IR thermometer. For the comparison of 3d printer bed – printer was set up to heat to 80C. Seems like HT aligns with whatever IR thermometer is telling better than Flirs.
Couple points:
Flir – little space, photos directly on the...
