CanUK: Works well for keeping my dog in the living room when I am cooking - more than once I have nearly tripped over him hovering around whilst keeping his eyes peeled for a dropped scrap of food. Nice easy slide action to opening and closing it and simple to install. Recommended.

Pretty flexible and easy to latch and unlatch as well as install.

We have had a similar one in the past and the untreated wood isn’t perfect for outside

This design is terrible the pen is to big for the slot on the cover can't close. Why is that? I would not recommend.: Excellent, made well, works just as I hoped,and looks good. I use it as barier on stairs and rooms , as I can move it to different locations in my house, this is important as my wife has dementia and this has become an additional safety feature for me. Highly recommend.

zig613: The gate is pretty solid and folds easily. It covers the 54 inch opening and keeps my 60 lb. dog out. The only shortfall is the hardware. The longest hook screws provided are 2 1/4 inches & were too short for the installation I needed. It will work if you are screwing the hooks into a framed doorway however, I had to screw into a stud behind drywall and have the hook extend out from the wall by 3/4 inches to accommodate the baseboards. I had to go to Lowes to get some cornice hooks and eye hooks to make up my own mounting hardware. Otherwise a good buy!

Soulwinds: If you measure properly, it does go up without an issue. Took us 10 minutes to get it up and that's just because we decided to use those wall plugs to reinforce the eyelet screws and we spent about 7 minutes looking for them in the junk drawer. lol

Our only real complaint so far is that the latch is only one one side of the gate, so how we have ours set up at the bottom of our stairs (which wrap around 90 degrees over the first 3 steps) leaves us with very little room to get our hand in there to unlatch it. And unless we flip it upside down, that is just how it is in order to have it open up so it rests against the wall. Half the time we don't even latch it cause our current dog is too old and too blonde to figure out how to nudge it open, though she could probably jump it were it not for the tricky landing on the other side (the stairs). All the love to her, but she's only slightly smarter than a brick, but can jump 4 feet in the air without effort. lol

My only other, future, concern is that the gate probably won't take the weight of a large breed puppy pushing on it with their front paws in protest to being 'abandoned' on the main floor. Future us problem though so...
