Gordon MaxwellGordon Maxwell: Great camera apart from not being able to charge below zero degrees Celcius. Company should really state this is their technical specifications. I will be returning for a full refund.
Update, company got back to me and have offered me a replacement UefyCam 3, I already have a Homebase so the loss of built-in storage is not a big deal for me. I’ll update this review once I have tested the replacement unit.

Amazon Customer: Pros: Ease of set-up
No monthly subscription
You can view live picture from a desktop or laptop
The battery lasts and the solar panel does a good job of topping it off. Not much sun in winter so will see how long it lasts.
Cons: you can’t view events on desktop or laptop unless you have a cloud subscription.
There’s a bit of ghosting for night videos of animals or people.
Overall a decent camera, bought it on sale so definitely a good purchase. Still on the fence on whether to buy more for my property as this is the first winter since I purchased it.
Definitely worth considering!

Brennan Raposo: I've had Eufy Cam products for about 3 years now. Overall, I'm pretty happy. The build quality has been hit or miss. I've gone through 1 camera and one base station in 2 years. Prior to Eufy, I had a Nest cam for 5 years that never skipped a beat.
I got this unit as the front of my house is almost always in constant sun and I had planned on buying the optional solar panel for my existing Eufy Camera. "Thankfully" my existing Eufy camera battery decided to stop holding a charge, so I decided to buy the S40.
The built in solar panel has been awesome on this camera. It has only dipped below 100% on 2 occasions when we had 2-3 days of overcast/rain. It jumps back up to 100% as soon as there's a sunny day. Theoretically, I should never have to charge this camera. Winter will be the real test with both a cold battery and fewer sunny days.
Where my complaints begin are with the motion detection. I followed the installation instructions and set the camera at a height of about 8 feet and the proper angle. I have the motion detection sensitivity set to 100% and "all motion" set in the settings. Unfortunately, I've been alerted by neighbours asking If I happened to have...

Lawrence: So it's been 4 months since the deal lured my purchase. I've already been using the "wired" 2K Doorbell with the Homebase and haave been very happy (after wasting time and money on a Ring Pro).
I find the Customer Service experience, though not planned, was a pleasant experience which compliments the overall quality of the product purchased. No long wait time, no unnecessary dialogue before my situation was understood, and no hesitation with providing an amicable solution to resolve the issue.
There are two important factors that I believe should be highlighted to people considering the product, which leads to my 2-removed star rating.
The first, is somewhat multifaceted... this is a standalone product. Aside from access to the internet via wifi, it requires and depends on nothing else (aside from sunlight for power). While this is touted as a feature, one must consider the fact this is still over 200CAD (typically after taxes, even when on sale).
This means it's vulnerable to vandalism/theft. You have to think of the intended purpose of the device... to capture usable video, you're either looking for faces, or at the very least, ability to have reference to height...

Last Days Scotty: I have 3 of these. The great functional use of the first one, prompted me to buy a second and then a third. Give me another payday, and I will get a forth.
Mechanically speaking: Upon receiving my cameras, I found them to be well assembled of high quality components. They looked good. Insofar as the mounts, visually I found item to be barely up to task - they looked cheap or like a hastened afterthought. The nylon lock washers all had loose fitting threads that felt like they're ready to strip when tightening. It was a dicey step in the mounting process. This was the case on all three cameras I bought. The base of the mount is thin and easily cracks when tightening the screws, so be careful. Regardless, the mount did not allow the camera's aim to move in recent 65 mph winds! I was surprised.
The 2K picture is very good (not great) and clear once the cameras are fully "awake". They do not enlarge well. When the cameras are awoken out of their slumber, the picture quality sucks until it finally clears up. This wake up time varies from just a second or two, to a very irritating many seconds. Sometimes you only get just a few seconds of usable "footage" of an offense,...
