Brian: These strings have helped me with a unique problem I have as a guitar player:

I've always had a problem with string corrosion. I don't know if it due to humidity or unusually corrosive sweat or both but I have had (especially the B and high E) strings rust brown or black within weeks. Before you think I take lousy care of my guitars, I will tell you that I wipe them down excessively after playing then store them in their cases. Regardless of the cleaning, TERRIBLE RUST will come to my guitars within a few weeks. I even notice the pickup magnets having rust where my hands would be. Keep in mind I have been using standard nickel plated strings for years.

These PURE NICKEL guitar strings have lasted at least twice as long than the usual nickel coated Ernie Balls strings. They seem slightly easier to bend than normal strings too. I don't know why I haven't come across these strings years sooner. There is some form of string degradation after a few weeks but it is much less than normal strings.

Hopefully this will help some other musician who has unfortunately highly corrosive sweat.

Who?: After not playing for several years, I found my old .010-.052 strings way too heavy. Went back to .008s like in the 80s and strengthening my fingers back up. Good strings and a very warm sound with the nickel windings.

smc78: Unlike most strings for drop tuning you can actually play an ear shredding solo without making your fingers bleed in a D, C, or baritone tune.. The string guage is heavy enough to hold a drop tune yet light enough to bend a full step without needing days away from playing to let your fingers heal.

RaisRais: I've always ran manufacturer gauge sizes but I've always been a fan of EB strings. I saw a few recommendations for running smaller gauges and pure nickel for the sound I was chasing so I gave it a shot.

Fantastic.

I didn't expect dropping such a small amount in gauge size would be so different but the feel and tone of these strings is absolutely phenomenal. I've also never ran pure nickel strings and usually opt for wound, but they feel and play fantastic. Definitely going to be my go-to for my strats going forward.
