Jay: I took a gamble trying to find a slightly lighter gauge than my previous D'addario 11/52 for Drop c tuning. However, these power slinky’s ended up being too light. They do have a great sound, but the string tension is too loose for what I need. I suggest these strings for standard tuning.

Jim: I've been using Ernie Ball Regular slinky strings for about 25-30 years on all my guitars. The work great on tremolo or hard tail guitars. Stay in tune very well and sound great.

Starblaster77: Ernie ball has always made great long lasting strings. These work great for me after playing 10's for years. Definitely easier to play but sound just as good.

Dan11: I must say the strings from d'addario last longer, but one pack is now 11.69$. I always thought it's a good investment given the lifespan , but then I noticed that after some time they lose their 'brighthness', so I change strings after about 3 months anyway. I'm sure Earnie ball strings can last that, so now I think it makes more sense to buy 3 packs of earnie ball for ~15$ .

E Bunny: I was gifted for my birthday my very first guitar (affinity squire stratocaster) about two years ago, and after one year I decided to replace the guitar strings. I bought these since I recognize they are the brand my dad would use for his guitar and basses, and they seem to be a staple for electric guitar strings.
Now I dont play my guitar much, but I do constant upkeep for the health and condition of the guitar, keeping it in tune when i have the time. It's more of a plucking hobby for me instead, and holds a lot of nostalgia of my highschool days. However, It still holds it's notes beautifully even AFTER me taking off the strings to deep clean and condition the fretboard and restringing it back up.
I recommend, as a semi-novice guitar-keeping hobbyist!
