A interface do app é simples e precária.

Mile: Excellent scanner. I think I left a good review on another device by mistake. I meant this one. Very practical. It is however, hard to connect to a network. Not very intuitive. But afterwards, it works great. I use it mainly to scan documents and save them in google-drive folder. It can handle all sorts of document shapes, except long documents. If you try to scan a long document, it will stop and give an error that there is a jam. Other than that, no problem. The speed of scanning is great. The software isn't that sophisticated but it does the trick. You can scan several pages at once and then rearrange them into a single pdf file. Sometimes, when I need to scan a long file, I use my cellphone, snap a photo, and send it to my computer. But in general, I was able to dispose of a lot paper. The only complaint is that I had to crank up the use of my shredder.

Todd:
Really like the scanner, works great for all my needs. Very fast doing 2 sided letter and legal pages. Card reader workers on most cards some lamimated cards are to thick to go through but not the end of the world. My only complaint is the locking mechanism is sticky so opening it can be a bit tricky.
But over all very happy i found it.

M:
I tried three different scanners and chose to keep this one because it was the most versatile.
- Easy to name scans individually or a few at a time while saving them (others automatically named them numerically).
- Scans both sides at the same time when needed.
- Not recommended for photos but I purchased mainly to scan 4x6-inch color photos and it does a great job without scratching images (cheaper Epson and another brand scratched horribly).
It does not work well (or at all) for black&white photos but does so well with everything else.
A bit heavy for a portable but its quality and versatility make it a very good purchase.

Chris:
This works well, the software is pretty easy to install, and it's even pretty straight-forward to get working on a wireless network. It's also FAST and good quality. My only real complaint is that the page feeder can't take more than about 8-10 pages at a time before it starts double- or triple-feeding. Also, mine once thought it was jammed, and the only way I could find to clear it was to power it off and back on (I had pulled the paper through manually).
I also wish it came with at least a basic protective case.

The Fiddl3r:
Update March 10, 2018.
I received the replacement unit today and shipped off the defective unit. If anything this unit, although a refurbished unit, is even better than the original. No scuffs of any kind and not a speck of dust anywhere on it. The scans it makes are even better than the original. All things taken I am quite satisfied.
I still believe the switch should be redesigned, but I'll be extremely careful of this one just in case something I did in the last 6 months contributed to the failure. (I can't think of anything, though.)
I am now more familiar with the quirks of Epson Scan Utility 2 on my Mac and haven't had a problem with it in quite some time. There is also the fact that Hamrick's VueScan software now works with this scanner. For quick and dirty I use ESU2. For anything that requires a higher level of options I use VueScan Professional. The best of both worlds when using the USB interface.
The WiFi scan software for iOS is still very primitive and prone to failure. If I required that function I would only give this three stars. One for the software and 5 for the hardware. The USB interface operates perfectly for...

Pat: Alright, I've had this for 3 months and now it's time to leave a review. While this scanner has definitely helped getting my file cabinet decluttered, it came at the expense of a long and involved learning curve. I'm happy with the quality of the scans overall and the speed is wonderful. But figuring out the settings and software has been God awful. The device has multiple software packages and all are very confusing. At least 3 software programs to install - Document Capture Pro, Epson Scan 2, and ABBYY FineReader. Each software is different, I can't even get into the nuances without writing a couple paragraphs. Basically I figured out that Epson Scan 2 is the bare bones enter the settings and hit the scan button utility I need. But, the timeout setting built into the software has the app shutting down after just minutes of it being idle and guess what, you have to restart the whole program. Just keep it on. Also, connecting the ES-300W to new WiFi networks is not straightforward. After a lot of turning on, turning off, and repairing I generally end up getting it to connect. Likewise, connecting via USB always seems to present problems too. Please work on these...

G. Torres: I bought this scanner 6 years ago, and I still love it so much I've decided to write a review. I keep buying new printer/scanner combinations and they are slower, have less capacity, jam more, don't produce as nice of an image, don't have the nice Epson scan software. I scanned THOUSANDS of pictures for myself and my sister so quickly. It does an amazing job of scanning double-sided and detecting blank pages. It jams occasionally but is easy to get up and running again. Its small, fast, can do a lot, and is one of my favorite gadgets.
