The listing was for a " 10-30X50 Zoom Monocular Telescope". What I received was a 10-20X50 model. That being said, I was happy with this model and it should serve my needs well. It has a solid build and all features function well. The clarity is very good and zoom and focus seems adequate for my use (shot spotting around 100yds and general snooping). It comes with lens covers that fit well and a decent nylon carry case. I couldn't find this model in any listings so I cannot compare price. All in all it seems like it will do what I need and for a spotting scope newb I am happy with the performance. Your mileage may vary.

Michael Wells: If your like me and one eye is much weaker than the other the binoculars make no sense. This is an excellent bit of kit.

LillianneLillianne: First I must say how impressed I was with the clarity in view with the amount of zoom! The pictures posted by other customers on the distance really helped twords buying it. To why I wanted to make my own to share also.
I wanted something that would have better zoom than my cameras. Clarity that my video camera doesn't have, becoming pixely at very high zoom.
A billboard that is hard to see with human eyes from where I was located. I was able to see clearly with the monoscope. Blurry with my mobile camera at full zoom. When fully zoomed-in on the monoscope, I was so close I could even read it! I recommend a tripod when using at the highest zoom for better detail view. The clarity is even better than the pictures I uploaded! I used a Samsung Note 10 plus for the photos. The product is very light. The bag is nice and light also. Even if new will not smell bad, or cheap so that is a plus.
I loved the price for such a good product. I knowing so little about monoscope I discovered that to get even closer with a more powerful zoom I would need a spotting scope. Yet this will do fine and seem to have the best distance compaired to others monoscopes. So I got them both and its a...

Bianca Freitag: I really like this so far. It is much easier for my kids to focus in on stuff with this monocular rather than a binoculars. Also with the zoom feature it is easier to get the bird in your field of vision with the low zoom and then zoom in and focus. It is really nice to have the zoom feature so you can zoom in on things further away although it can be hard to hold it steady when zoomed in far. Also if you have binoculars that are too high powered to start with it is hard to get the bird in your sight sometimes so getting it with lower level zoom and then zooming in is awesome! It is also pretty light weight compared to my binoculars which I appreciate. I wish it had a strap but I have put it in a utility belt pocket that clips on my pants and that works really well to carry it and quickly grab it out. It is fairly large but not very heavy.

richard muszynski: the lens dials are hard and stiff to turn and its a 2 handed model not user friendly I bought it based on its high star rating so dont be fooled by the reviews, not a good single hand held unit but its ok and good it you use it with a standing tripod. heavy and not a quick use portable unit. now wish I bought a top dial focus dialing focus monocular. That was user friendly, easy one handed, to take on a forest type walk

eli: this awkwardly designed monocular scope (the focussing design causes you to have to have 2 hands on the scope) is very bright and clear from it's lowest magnification to about it's middle magnification. It's a pleasure to see through, the focus is crystal clear and precise, it is lightweight, its focus and mag wheels are top notch. Upwards from the middle magnification of 20, to 30, is maybe a bit of a stretch for the optics. That said, if you really need to get a detail from something, the upper magnification range is fairly good if you are steady or can steady the scope with something. Resolution and brightness begin retreating after 20+, but the optics are good enough if you really press them into service... with caveats.
The design also doesn't allow for easy handling, nor for hanging the scope around your neck, or keeping the lens caps where they should be. The lens caps failure in design is a very common one in this world, for some strange reason... they don't stay on unless you suspend the scope in the air, protect it from all environmental forces and throw a hex on them. Also, when they fall off... count ten steps into your adventure, they find ground with not even...

Capt RB: So what can you get these days out of these inexpensive optics. Good binoculars usually start at around 200 dollars and zoom optics are always a compromise. Look through a pair of Fujinon's or Steiners and you'll be shocked at how good they are (that's what I keep on my boat), but not everyone wants to spend that much.
The good news is that, over the years, a LOT of optical technology has trickled down and gotten cheaper. This monocular is a perfect example because 40 bucks is pretty low-end, yet this does do a pretty good job.
OPTICS: At the lowest magnification you get a reasonable amount of sharpness. If you haven't experienced high end stuff, this is pretty amazing. No ghosting and colors look very good. As you zoom in the image will soften slightly, but it's still perfectly acceptable. The extra magnification is useful, if that's what you require. If you plan to use these on a boat, the higher magnification will be tougher to use because you won't always be able to keep steady.
HANDLING: The monocular is actually quite large, very much like the other half of a full size binocular. A tripod mount is nice, but the lack of ANY strap attachment is a SERIOUS flaw. The bag...
