Ron: I am not compensated for this 5 star review. First, this monocular takes a few minutes to get used to. I purchased it to replace a broken pair of binoculars. This little unit came with a small lanyard, a cleaning cloth and an instruction guide. Because its small its hard to hold stable, but it does provide a clear, bright view of distant objects. The zoom works well. It is not the waterproof model. It fits nicely in my jacket pocket and my car’s glove compartment so it is very accessible. I have not yet attempted to use it with tripod or smart phone, but it does have a tripod fitting. I also like that it comes from Aurosports and arrived very quickly, next day.

Bob Tobias: I bought this primarily to do one thing. I use it to see 1/4" (.22 cal) holes in a brightly lit piece of paper 50' away. For that, this works well. I used to be able to see them without any help. Then again, when I was younger, there was lots I could do without help.

I was not expecting (and this does not deliver) stellar optics, such as you might find in a Swarovski scope. Then again, those things cost 100 times more than this, and proper expectations are essential. Plus, this scope is light and easy to focus, and it even comes with a handy pouch.

If you're looking for an inexpensive, lightweight (only 7 ounces), and easy-to-use scope that will let you see the main details of something without letting fine details or sparkling color get in the way, this is an excellent choice.

LD: For those complaining about it not focusing, it's a user problem. The FRONT body twists! That's how you focus. The magnification is actually useful at 30x. Sure, your hand will be moving like you're in a hurricane but the picture (after focus) is actually pretty clear. Not 100% clear but more like 90% which is still very useful at this price point. Mount it on a tripod and you're good to go in seeing people scratch-n-sniff their butts a few blocks away

I had my doubts buying this item but gosh darnit I'm glad I did. If you know how to read and follow instructions that are included, this is a gem for the price. Now, go get one!

RAJAT: Great product, on full zoom i can read name on a Big Vessel Ship which is 8Km far from beach by using tripod. You can identify a person easily if you are standing 1km far but use tripod otherwise you’ll not get stable image on full zoom.

Chris G.: This is legit a good product. Good zoom, good clarity, What more do you want for this price. It’s light weight so I’d say treat it kindly (comes in a neoprene case so that’s ok.. comes with a crappy plastic phone thing I just chucked away. The monocular works well. Very well. Zoom is crazy. Although the controllers are bit unusual it works. I’d say better than binoculars due this being lighter, adjustable zoom and good field of view.. and about same volume in a pack as small binoculars. Cheers. Chris.

Andy: I was ready to rate this one star... but then the seller followed up with my order, listened to me complain it wouldn't focus, then they sent me dummy-proof instructions that reminded me to twist the front... the front ring of mine was fairly tight and I was afraid of breaking it, thinking it doesn't turn...

Make sure you extend and turn the front ring. It does turn, the whole front assembly turns.

Good little scope testing it out right now in the middle of the night I am getting solid focus close up and far away. Cool little device! Now if only there was an easy way to stow the dust caps, like if they were lanyarded to the monocle, or the travel bag zipped securely...

Claus Olesen: Aurosports 10-30x40 Zoom Monocular (manual titled UltraZoom MegaZoom Pro). Measured: 154x50/44mm, 206gr, 241gr with caps and case. Comes with strap, lens caps, lens wipe, manual. Lightweight, clear view. Not small. Good field and light at lowest zoom, less so at higher zooms. Has screw hole for standard tripod. Tripod likely required at higher zooms to avoid shaking. Works with eye glasses. Has 4 controls: In the thin end is the eyepiece. Turning it does not seem to make much difference and is not mentioned in the manual btw. The ring next to the eyepiece is for setting the zoom level (may have to turn the eyepiece to unlock it). The remaining 2 controls are the extend/collapse of the barrel and turn of the barrel for approximate and fine focusing respectively. To adjust either do as the manual says (not sure it is not confused tho). Alternatively set the desired zoom. Lower zoom provides more light and wider field but less magnification and more shaking. Next, to focus hold the thin end of the barrel and turn the thick end to say around midway around the 10 mark leaving adjustment room to either side, extend/collapse the barrel until approximate focus is found and then again turn...

Sashicon: It's actually a far more manageable monocular than the more expensive one's! especially depending on what your using it to view (distance+magnification) I have tried several from the high end 100$+ monoculars to the least expensive 10$+monoculars and both have their advantages, even when comparing (low light) on most the low end $, to built-in infrared night vision on the more expensive monoculars. First as a daily driver your (go-to/ for a variety of day time use, compact ability and stand alone use) the lower price 20-50$ monocular with "22x" or more zoom with low light vision is without a doubt the best for sight seeing with the naked eye from a generally 10x fixed distance. 22x-300x is generally what is described but the 300x zoom is often misleading or just another way of saying infinite but after 1000m-2000m/ 700- 1000 there is no stability or crisp focus that is of any real benefit to the naked eye. Idk what the phone assistance or a tripod would do for stability or clarity but for clarity it couldn't make much of a difference as the stability would. The main thing to consider is what is the main purpose you would find yourself using any monocular? If you are looking for an...
