Kryss: This product was order last minute but it arrived early which was nice. It works took awhile to heat up but once it did it was just like using a stove. I would recommend this product for the price that it's offer at.

Avery: Bought for boyfriend’s apartment which has a “kitchenette” if you can even call it that. Works ok. He uses it to cook eggs and basics like that. The only temperature he uses is the high as it’s not very high and does take a bit to heat up. Is a little to snug to fit 2 decent pans on too. I think he’s boiled water with it, but does so with the help of his kettle first. Otherwise he uses his air fryer. Was cheap and does the job.

Joe D: The GOOD: I really enjoyed this product and it worked great for 7 months. I've used it at least twice daily and it heated everything I needed with no issues.

Warnings: The metal surface would get extremely hot while operating, so you have to be careful while using it. The plates are basically impossible to clean after you spill something on it, but it would not affect the use. There was a weird smell in the first week of use but I read it's normal and then it disappeared.

The BAD: After 7 months of use, the knob for the left side burner (the bigger one) stopped working. There is a click when you would turn on and off each burner, and now the left side will not turn off anymore. The plate stays on at all times, so I have to remove the plug from the outlet to turn it off, and plug it back in if I want to turn it on. I was lucky to notice right away the product was still on after I finished cooking, otherwise it could've caused a fire or an accident. It is now a fire hazard to use this countertop.

The WORST: The Warranty. The Amazon page advertised this device had a 1 year warranty. After receiving the product and reading the warranty details in the manual, it...

Mark: After a year of using one of these as the only cooking appliance for a family of foodies, I can say it is an excellent choice. Good and bad follows, mostly good.

This thing is great for what it is, and what it does. Just bought a second unit to have 4 burner ability...
OK, up front - some are defective, if you get one with issues, just return it.

It is a 1500 watt cooktop, reasonably priced, with cast iron burners. The 1500 watts means a bit slower heating than an 1800 watt unit - but if you are in a place where you can't put it on its own 20 amp circuit breaker, you stand a better chance of actually using it. Divided into 900 and 600 watts means left side is nearly a thousand watt cooktop, right side is 20% hotter than a 500 watt cooktop. Good compromise.

It gets hot, it controls the temperature reasonably well for what it is. Coil cooktops are notorious for boiling over or just sitting there, cast iron mellows out the temperature fluctuations. Anon: My father and I have been using these countertop stoves for quite some time. We decided to replace our last one that was really faulty and incredibly difficult to clean.

This is by far the best one we have owned. All of the previous countertop stoves we have owned, had elements that were raised and not removable. This one has no gap, making cleaning as simple as wiping it down.

It also functions as expected. It heats water to a boil within 10 mins and can get that sizzle needed when frying. Have yet to try both elements at the same time.

My only complaint is that liquids, when the element is hot, leave an almost white stain that is harder to get off because of the small grooves in the element.

BettyCBettyC: The media could not be loaded.  It’s not a scientific study, but I put 2 cups of cold tap water in the little pot with a lid and turned the smaller burner to Max. It started heating up within a couple of minutes. Full boil at over 200 degrees F by the 10 minute mark as shown on the video. I think it will be fine for coffee, drinks and boiling eggs or soup. I didn’t put both burners to use at the same time except to follow the instructions to put them on at Level 1 for 15 minutes to burn off the initial smell. The smell wasn’t too bad. The whole unit does get very hot so be careful ( not safe around young children). The burners have fine grooves so are harder to clean and you need to wait a while for them to cool down before you can wipe them down. Still, for a camping stove (at an electrical site) or maybe a dorm room, it works fine for the low price. Looking forward to use it for our winter camping trip in February!
