Kindle Customer: This replaced a Nuwave which I was very happy to get rid of. Like that all touch controls are under the glass plate so should last a long time. Had trouble with the unit sliding as only two lwo contact points have rubber feet but found a work around. Instructions call for starting at a low temp but unit starts at 380°.would suggest that they design it to begin lower. I would buy again.

SDVA: I originally purchased this to replace an old butane fondue burner. It worked great for that application though the fan can be a little noisy at times. I started using this as an extra burner when making complex meals. I really like the heat control so have tried using it a couple of times to make stock. You can precisely control the simmer but unfortunately the unit shuts off after an hour or so, so it's not applicable for dishes that must simmer for a long time.

tyler: I have a nu wave and got this just to try another brand. This one is not nearly as efficient. Always have to press too many buttons to get to the desired temperature and power.

olliepearl: First, for induction cooking, this works great. It's fast to boil water, the kettle and pot handles stay cool, all the things you want in an induction cook top hot plate are there. Why do I downgrade it? The controls. It has a red light that flashes annoyingly just letting you know it's plugged in. I tried unplugging it when I don't use it, but that became another little hassle. And I figured out that I have to punch the touch controls more than a dozen times to get to the setting to boil water quickly. You first have to hit the red flashing light to make it solid. Then you have to hit the button next to it for some sort of "function" option. Then it displays 600. 600 what? I don't know, and I don't care. I'd prefer "LOW" or "MED" or some such. You have to hit the "up" button to get the temperature up to 1800 units, which requires a touch for 700, 800, 900, 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400, 1500, 1600, 1700, and then 1800. Most of the time a few of your touches of the screen won't be recognized so you have to tap it repeatedly. Tap tap tap tap are we there yet? Tap tap tap. What makes 1800 the hottest temperature? And if you're like me and you put butter or oil in your pan and, once...

Loving Hubby & Father of 4: I've just purchased this on a whim as I've really wanted something to speed up the breakfast preparation. First, the unit I received was exactly what was described - kudos to the seller for accurate product information. (Increasingly rare in Amazon today). I've had it 3 days now and have used it for 3 meal preps. It came out of the box and made dinner - teriyaki chicken - my favorite - how'd it know? (kidding)

I use this with an Epicurious Aluminum pot set (Bed Bath & Beyond has them). They are induction ready, save the square griddler pan - it's not. These pans all have compatibility symbols laser-etched in the bottom. These pans heat up very fast with this induction cooktop! Wow. The main stove is a radiant heat cook top from LG. I do love it, but it's not nearly as fast. As of now, I cut all my fresh ingredients for my morning omelet directly into my favorite skillet. (Previously I'd cut them separately in a bowl and wait 10 minutes for my skillet to heat up on the radiant cook top). Add a little butter, place the skillet on the iSiler and turn it on. The amount of time for required for my ingredients to reach grilling temperature now is 3 minutes or less. (I've been...
