Ron Sanderson: Our new electronics have all come with USB-C ports. However, we still have a lot of older electronics (laptops, desktop workstation) and charging stations that are all the older, bigger, USB-A. We don’t intend to replace any of that soon.
These little adapters are barely bigger that the port itself, so they can fit anywhere you could fit a USB-A cable. Just pop one in, then plug in the USB-C cable, and you are good to go.
My Apple Watch is being charged through one of these as I type this review.

I don't understand why some reviewer are so stingy with their star rating. My rating here has nothing to do with whether I've enjoyed my purchase.
