William EWilliam E: I have had a run of bad luck recently. The wifi adapter was purchased for a PC which proceeded to die before I received the adapter. I needed a Windows pc for connection to my amateur radio, so I put an old Mini Mac into service, installing Windows natively on it for dual-boot. The wifi connection on the Mac was also broken, so this unit was needed to receive the internet. (The wired network still works, but it was not convenient) As you can see from the picture, (Please ignore the mess!) the signal reception is excellent -- 97%! The drivers installed on Windows without a hitch. (They also installed on the Mac side just as easily!). Well constructed, great quality in a small unit, and the right price! Also, it connected to my 5G network, so the speed was excellent. A great buy for anyone!

DV from AZ: Moved to a new residence where the wifi in the “office” was poor, and no ethernet. I'm a gamer. My PC’s AC WiFi kept quitting (tried *all* the fixes to no avail) and even when it worked, the highest throughput I ever saw was about 175Mbps (which would be ok if it didn’t die on me every few minutes (literally)).
I researched this EDUP unit and its specs (including gain) and purchased over Amazon. The shipment arrived EARLY (even with COVID-19). Assembly (if you even want to call it that, you screw on the 2 antenae) took 30 seconds. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS, do NOT just plug it in and expect Windows to “do it’s thing” (I’m Windows 10, all the updates). Mine came with a flash drive for the driver, not a CD (most laptops don’t have CD drives, good call EDUP!). I followed the directions provided: Plug in the flash drive, run the setup program, reboot. I then checked my Device Manager (not required, just me) and all the new drivers et al were present. I plugged in the unit, configured WiFi to use the new adapter (EASY), Eureka! Checked my WiFi signal, 565Mbps – over 3 TIMES faster than the best my old adapter could manage, and I get 101% of my ISPs provided speed...

Eric: Really impressed with everything. I'm in a condo that's 5k square feet and has a mesh system which does a great job moving the WiFi around at a good speed. Currently have over 200mb from the modem from there mesh at the furthest point is around 170mb. The problem we have was the WiFi cards in each of the computers. The computers were getting 24-48mb with a mesh sitting right in front of the tower. I only had one mesh I could've lan lined to the tower so it didn't solve my problem. These adapters work amazingly. The usb drive they send with it that has the software and drivers install seamlessly. Don't forget to restart your computer and then edit your WiFi to disable the old one inside your tower etc. I am getting full strength signal that matches my mesh at 170+mb from the furthest point. Much cheaper and easier than buying a new card and opening the tower etc. All 4 computers have one now and everyone's happy.

stardewkitteh: I got this to use with my HTPC while renting a home without ethernet available in the family room. Since it's just a temporary situation, I went for something cheap. Overall, this does the job nicely with surprisingly good speeds for such a small and low price adapter. However, on another system in the same room (so signal isn't the issue) the speed is terrible. Same software, settings, etc. One system is Intel and the other AMD. Not sure if that has something to do with it but it seems to play nice with the Intel system. Not so much with the AMD. For the price, I'm satisfied with the purchase. Just beware some hardware can give this thing a hard time.

John & Jane Doe: I don't know if this adapter is 4 star or 5 star yet because I have not owned and used it very long, however, the reception is great and the speed is a noticeable difference over the WIFI-N PCI-e adapter my laptop came with so the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the software it came with does not have an interface in its software to manage the device that works on windows 10 Pro. But the built in software in windows manages the device just fine so no complaints. Overall I am very happy with this true USB 3.0 device (think samsung galaxy note 3 interface) the only knock on the device is that the cable it comes with is only about 3 ft long where as a 6 ft cable would make it that much nicer for placement on cluttered computer desks. Overall I am very pleased with the performance of this adapter and would not hesitate to recommend to other people whether they are tech savvy (PC users) and not so tech savvy (Mac users).

Rashid Ahmad: The setup was simple and took 5 mins. This wifi adapter performed way better than my previous one. The connection was stable and fast throughout. The cable provided is of good quality and looks like it will last.
