EcoPure EPW2 Whole Home Water Filter Housing: Enjoy Clean, Fresh Water in Your Home

Sam D.: I bought this filter housing specifically for under sink installation. It’s a little on the large side and takes quite a bit of real estate especially in a packed under sink storage but I wanted something that’ll take a standard 10-inch filter and have a variety of filter brand options. Installation is straight forward but can be challenging in tight spaces. Once mounted it’s quite stable since the bracket is built-it.

We’ve had it a little over a year now with a Brita cartridge and so far, have had no issues with it. We never had any plastic or chemical taste when new either. One thing to note for this particular housing is the ports are 3/4 in. FIP. I had to use two 3/4 in. MIP x 1/4 in. FIP reducer brass fittings to make it work on a sink mounted water filtration faucet.

Patrice L.: I've used different filters over the years but this one has been the most efficient to get clean, clear water with a neutral taste. Our water source usually has a very ferrous taste and this carbon filter took away most of it. One filter at the intake and one at the faucet does the trick. Don't know how long this will be efficient but so far so good.

non bs buyer: I bought the 10in bowl and these filters for one specific reason, an ice maker that I got online recently. its a little bigger than your typical portable one so it takes a little bit more effort to get the water flow going to it. i have this whole home filter connected directly from under my kitchen sink. this filter alone isnt enough i have connected it to an anti scaler, 2 5-year fridge filters by ecopure, a carbon sediment filter and theres still a ton of scale build up its supposed to filter sediment but after 1 hr of running the ice maker i can hear something like little rocks in the water cycler i clean the ice maker and it scaled hard, so i checked the ppm its from 445-449 i checked it directly from the faucet and its at 450 so i got 4 filters and the most it filtered was 5ppm at the most i think im going to try my luck with an ion exchange bowl filter instead or maybe a prefilter btw im in socal so the water actually made the filter visibly turn brown in the folds in 4 months from running it specifically for the ice maker. its alright because at least the water didnt ick up but for something thats meant to be .5 microns this isnt cutting it like i thought...

Ken Darke: Didn't work to well with a 5 micron filter, but doubled up the filters and put a carbon filler on each one and they worked extremely well. We use these filters when camping in our 5th. Wheel. For a four month period.

Norman: I have two cartridge filter containers in the basement one with 5 microns carbon filter [EPW2C] and the second with 1 micron carbon filter [EPW2F] going to my kitchen cold line only. I bought from Amazon a TDS EZ water tester. My cold water from the city comes in at 128-142ppm. When I test my water from my kitchen water line it comes in at 95-112ppm. The filters do make a difference. I change the filters every 6 months. I recommend this filter.

Byz Andular: These have wonderful filtration. I noticed a difference in the taste of my well water. We have a 50 micron filter in front of it to remove the bigger particles and this seems to work very well. I'll probably end up changing these every 3 months, but this is well worth it for good quality filtration.
