Doug buys stuff: I used these as pre and post filters for my whirlpool RO system. I bought the Whirlpool brand RO filter because A: it was a few dollars cheaper lol and B: it was the name brand for my unit. These were cheaper that the whirlpool pre and post filters and the same size and specifications. Tap water went from TDS 35ppm to eventually 4ppm after the combination of filters. Output started at 20ppm and worked its way down to 4ppm over time.

RabidBeagle: This is literally the exact same filter system as the Whirlpool reverse osmosis system. I know because I've had that system for almost 15 years. There is a little rubber washer that eventually fails and between the cost of a repair kit and a new set of filters it was cheaper to just purchase this kit. And when I say it's the same, I mean it. The only difference is the top cover piece. Even the plastic molding marks from manufacturing is the same.

And that's good because any filter that fits those will fit this. That's the expensive part of this system, those filters, which need to be replaced annually in my house.

The water that comes out of this system is great. We rarely buy bottled water anymore. This removes the metallic aftertaste and strange chemical flavors my tap water has. Installation isn't too bad either and it doesn't require much maintenance. Absolutely worth the money if you drink a lot of water.

Steven MyersSteven Myers: Loose charcoal material from the pre filter plugged up my reverse osmosis filter causing the system to bypass and not filter water. See picture of the water that was drained from the system. EcoPure customer service was no help. They advised they would send new filters at a discounted price. Amazon's customer service was exceptional.

Surflost: I have had the Ecopure RO system for about 8 years and I just buy these replacements. I got a set recently that made my water taste like plastic. It didn't go away, it was a bad filter. I just contacted the seller and they sent out a replacement that arrived in less than 48hrs. Great customer service to make it right. This new set is great, and tastes super clean. They recommend to replace after about 6 months... but I do them about every 18 months and they're just fine. We don't have super hard water or anything crazy in our tap, so they last longer with good flavor.

MBMB: Prodotto molto ben confezionato, con precisione e cura. Comincio dal manuale, cartaceo (inglese e spagnolo) , che è una cosa d'altri tempi, nel senso buono. Viene spiegato tutto con molte immagini ben fatte, con le varie opzioni (installazione sotto lavello o in cantina) e con molte spiegazioni. Vi si trova addirittura una sezione che SPIEGA I PRINCIPI E COME FUNZIONA OGNI PARTE, anche quelle cui non si deve mettere mano. Incredibile, ai nostri giorni, quando di solito non si trova nemmeno il minimo indispensabile.
La fatture dei vari pezzi, anche quelli in plastica, sembra molto accurata e quando si fanno giunzioni e montaggio si ha impressione di solidità.
Unico vero problema, che nel mio caso ha ritardato l'installazione di due giorni, è il fatto che il raccordo di presa dell'acqua dalla rete (T in plastica nera con attacco rapido verde, vedi foto) ha una filettatura fuori standard,forse perché il prodotto è di fabbricazione americana; in tre tra ferramenta e magazzini non sono stato capace di trovare un sostituto. So I wanted to get a reverse osmosis system for three reasons...
1) I need to have my humidifier during the cold winter months. I heat by baseboard, and the air gets too dry. I prefer Ultrasound type humidifiers, since they require no filters that will start to affect the air quality with one BIG caveat. The type of water is crucial to do away with white dust. The minerals left in the water by a water filter built in to my refrigerator is not effective in removing the minerals and impurities that will eventually leave a white dust and haze everyone in your home. So far, the RO water that I'm using is working to my satisfaction.
2) I cannot be bothered buying distilled water (only found in 1 gallon jugs), or the boiled vapour water (not really distillation, since the water taste kind of funny but safe for human consumption) that is mineral free. I just need too much each week for run in my portable humidifiers, and take up too much space to store.
3) I hated going out and buying 5 gallon...

Teresa ChanTeresa Chan: J'étais très satisfaite d'avoir reçu le colis si rapidement. Nos l'avons installé le jour même, sans avoir tout déballé. Tout semblait être en ordre.
Pour commencer, les fuites autour de la valvule d'admission d'eau étaient presque impossibles à stopper. Nous avons dû enlever un petit embout plastique dans la valvule qu'empêchait de visser la valvule plus profondément. Deux rouleaux de teflon plus tard et c'était fait, mais pas stabile de tout.
Finalement après des heures de bataille au dessous de l'évier, il était le moment d'installer le réservoir. Comme vous pouvez voir dans les photos, c'était la mauvaise blague! La boîte extérieur en parfait état et dedans un 2ème carton avec le réservoir cabossé.
Comme il est en métal, la protection intérieur est certainement abîmé et j'aurai alors de la rouille dans mon eau.

Amazon contacté, ils acceptent seulement le produit complet (??). Encore 2 heures pour tout défaire (?!) de surplus j'ai dû couper quelques tuyaux (trop longs).
J'ai acceptée alors une ristourne (+- 24€), ce qui est une belle arnaque, vu qu'après coup j'ai remarquée que ce produit à dû déjà avoir fait des...

Amazon Customer: We just moved into a new house and wanted to have filtered water in our kitchen to get rid of the chlorine smell in our water. System was really easy to install and the water tastes 10x better than it did before. Push to connect fittings were nice, but it would be helpful if the system had an audible click when the tubing was pushed in fully. System is much better than our pitcher filter and the filter change looks simple. Would definitely buy again!
