Ken: I have only tried one other walking stick that I bought at a pharmacy ( it was cheap ) This one is much better - but not perfect - the extension system for changing length works by twisting the rod too loosen or tighten it has come loose on me after walking for 1/2 hr or so a couple of times. I am thinking of permanently fastening it somehow at my preferred length.
