Monica: I've read EVERY single book.. TWICE.. & I feel like she's writing my own story. Or like I am talking to a life long friend or better yet my sister. I've laughed, I've cried & at times disappointed in myself for not seeing what's so clear. But disappointment is quickly erased & faith is restored with every chapter that builds. I always thought I was a strong & independent woman. Now I I don't think. I KNOW I am! I am ENOUGH! So thank you

Clare Flavell: Brilliant read. Sums up perfectly the modern day dating minefield. Would definitely recommend reading this whether you're single or not.

Missy Barton: I bought this book after soooo many failed relationships with narcissists and abusive men. My tldr; take away. Love yourself...appreciate who you are and what you have to offer. And once you are truly loving yourself and happy being alone...the person for you will show up!! I do not recommend dating apps. Tried it and most men want you as fwb..not as a gf! My experience is this...love yourself. Be happy with yourself. Maybe rekindle an old friendship. Do it the "old fashioned way". The love of my life...a good, kind, loving, respectful, appreciative man, came into my life when I had finally given up on men. When I wasn't looking. And I've know him since KINDERGARTEN! Also in my teens. And now as adults after we both had failed marriages. I didn't know healthy until now..and every horrible relationship...led me to him. As for the book. It's true..funny...and to the point. Stop giving yourself up so quickly. Respecr yourself. And find the love of your life. 🥰

my3littleguys: I have followed Mandy for years on social platforms, so I had high expectations of this book- the first of hers I have read. While it may be a hit among some, it was a miss for me, and I found myself wishing I would get to the end. (I hate quitting books). I can relate to Mandy- we are of similar age, she references many of the same things I like, and I have shared some similar experiences. The book itself did not contain any new information for me- however, I am a trained counselor, so that wasn't necessarily my goal for reading, and I do think it contains nuggets of wisdom that others may really benefit from. I would likely still recommend the book to friends or clients who may need the advice she is sharing.
There were two things in particular that led to this being a disappointing read for me. The humor fell flat for me, and the entire book wad filled with attempts at wit and humor. I had expected to enjoy her writing style more than I did. The other thing was having followed Mandy, I associated her as a woman of faith, and I expected this to be woven into her book. There were a number of elements of advice that I felt just were not aligned with how we should approach...

MF: Love Mandy's writing and all of her past books. In lots of ways this was a really practical and lighthearted read about dating. It was enjoyable and did give me a laugh at times. I hate to say this, because I think Mandy is a fab writer, but some of Don't Believe the Swipe was a tad too cheesy or gimmicky for me. I didn't connect with it as much as Mandy's previous books and felt it lacked a bit of heart.

I felt that the message was a little negative at times, exhaulting women as warriors in the dating pool, equipping them for the inevitable battle they will face against the disappointing, narcissistic and passive army of men out there.
This is a read for heteronormative folks, with a female audience who have become jaded by dating. It was a lot of pro-woman messaging (which is fantastic!) with a hint of anti-man (not so fantastic) and had a touch of ' be warry of dating' (which was on point at times, but discouraging).

I found that I connected with the last 2 chapters. They had more heart in them and felt alot more stripped back of the memes and cutesy language.

lsmith18: Absolute gem. At first I thought it was just an echolalic expression of noughties tv shows but the advice is priceless. The advice keeps you on the right track whilst dating, takes you thought the steps from online to meet ups, and at the same time the author fosters your self-esteem and keeps you sane and grounded. I was hatfished the other day - I just smiled and knew my fellow Don't believe the Swipers would be behind me, nodding knowingly,

Maggie Silencino: After months of online dating hiatus, I’ve never been more encouraged to go back into it and have fun “catching and releasing.” Maybe somewhere in this journey I’ll be able to find my match and if not I’ll still be the sun around the planets.

BreAnn: Nearly 10 years ago now, I was walking around Barnes and Noble and Mandy's first book "The Single Woman: Life, Love, and a Dash of Sass" called my name. I'd recently gone through a serious heartbreak and the synopses on the back of the book made it sound like it was written specifically for me. That book changed my life, and I've followed Mandy's journey and picked up every book she's released since. I devoured this one in less than two days, and I can honestly say I think it may be her best book yet. There's something magical that happens when you finish a Mandy Hale book. You stand a little taller, your walk a little more confident, your smile a little wider. You stop allowing others, especially people you date, dictate your worth. You begin to go after what you really deserve and choose not to settle for less. I honestly don't know how I would have survived the last 10 years navigating this jungle of single life without some of the lessons I've learned from Mandy's books. She shares just enough of her own story to make you feel like you have found a real friend, a true kindred spirit. But she also shares realness and lessons you need to hear. I've never had the pleasure of...

Amazon Customer: First of all, I love that Mandy mentions “The Rules” books. Like her, I took a hiatus from dating (8 years to raise my son, not 6 months). In January, I signed “back up” and read all The Rules books. I read a few other dating books written by men, I read others by ladies. I was pretty hard core about the rules but after a bit, decided that I would take what I could from each of the books. Bottom line, Mandy’s advice is to remain true to yourself and don’t lose yourself in the process of dating. Use your God given intuition and trust your gut. Honestly, only you can determine if something (or someone) feels right. Also, her advice about owning your worth is PRICELESS. Worthy is my word for this year, so it resonates. Thank you Mandy!
If you are struggling with dating, want some solid advice and a few laughs along the way, then BUY this BOOK!!
