diana jaycox (my friends call me DJ): I was introduced to Liz Issacson through the Feel Good Fiction group, a group of happily ever after, sweet romance writers and their followers. I fell in love with her writing while reading her complete collection of the series Three River Ranch Romances. This box set was a wonderful introduction to her contemporary western romance genre. So when Bookbub featured "The Mechanics of Misteltoe" in their free and discounted section I was intrigued enough to order it through Amazon. I was even more thrilled to find it was available on Kindle Unlimited, so I didn't have to worry about blowing my book budget for the month!
"The Mechanics of Mistletoe" picks up the tale of the small town of Three Rivers and explores the lives of the Glover Family, owners of Shiloh Ranch and cousins to the Walkers from Three Rivers Ranch. The title and synopsis led me to believe that this was a holiday romance, so imagine my surprise when it begins with a natural disaster in Three Rivers in the fall! Oh, Liz eventually works around to Christmas but it is more about the mechanics of budding relationship between her two main characters, Bear Glover and his longtime crush, Samantha. Like the seasons,...

b. Jarrett: It's hard to visualize a big family of boys would be so close and get along with each other.
Very enjoyable book and it kept my interest. Thank you for sharing.

Nanny witch: A beautiful old fashioned love story, no violence or unnecessary bad language, or far to detailed bedroom scenarios! I liked the slow burn of the buildup to a full blown relationship and it was an absolute delight to read.

PollyAnna Joy: I know I loved reading Bear and Sammy's story, but I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about characters in a live story 35 and older. I know I don't dis-like it, so I don't know I feel even a little conflicted. I also love both the big family and that we get a taste of the romance for the other brothers and cousins. The Mechanics of Mistletoe is definitely a great read!

Kindle Customer John Belcher: Sammy had a crush on Bear for a long time since she was a teenager. Ever since she started as a mechanic repairing their farm equipment she caught Bear's eye and he just HAD to know more about her. Neither were very experienced in the romance department, so they both had a rough time getting started. Six months later they committed to each other. Very touching, and heart-warming. An excellent story worth the time to read. You've done it again Liz.

Barbara: A delightful book about family, love and faith. I enjoyed getting to know the various family members and I’m guessing more stories will evolve about the brothers and cousins.

Teresa: This is book one ( but I have a feeling there are other series in the same world in neighbouring towns, because we meet a few couples that sound like there is story's there) I love small town storylines and cowboys who own ranches and most importantly a romance a HEA even better there is more books so you get to see characters again.
The storyline was good it really was a women dealing with the death of her sister and her sisters husband and looking after there child (link) and trying to figure out dating with being a mum.
I had a few problems with it she is 32 becoming 33 and has been mum to link for 5 years (he is 8) but acts like it happened a month ago and acts like she is 18? Also bear is 45 she is 32 and they act like they are 16 going on a date for first time.I get it's been awhile for them both and parts was cute it's really a slow burn romance.
The likes I liked that there was no sex in it some authors feel pages with it and I feel they miss the romance and make it about lust.I'm new to this author but liked that she went with sweet and romantic for this storyline.I was not sure about the character changes in book, I could not work out if we was follows thoughts...

Janna: I like the real characters, not all fluffy and put-together. I was confused a few times, thinking that the original book had ended and started into another sibling book, but then a chapter or 2 later, it would come back to the original couple. That was my 4 stars instead of 5.
