Darlene Russo: Thanks you Julie. Your book made ne realize that I have been living a somewhat Wabi Sabi life for much of my 85 years and didn't know it. My home has that French laid back, rough linen and muted colors, my own painted art work shows old things, rocks, sticks and I have bought several old homes with beautiful cracked plaster and bubble window glass. What is more unusual, is that I also, somehow acquired a Japanese partner who didn't understand what Wabi Sabi art was.
I love your book and your style of writing, your way with words is comfortable, informative and hit the spot. Thanks.

Kelley: The book looks beautiful. I love the way the sides are pleated, BUUUTTTT the 1 downside is that the writhing on the side of the book is blue. Aesthetically for most people it will not go with your decor if your using it as a coffee table book.

Phillip Virden: On the search to learn more about Wabi Sabi, Julie Pointer Adams brings it all together for me in a lovely publication which will become an integral part of our home. I am not only inspired by the ideas she presents but, as important, I'm already seeing the world in a much more elegant manner. To top it off, her bringing us close to people from other countries serves a much-needed connection in today's world.

J. Ward: This book is a gift. As much as I love buying books online and for my Kindle, I happened upon this one serendipitously at a bookstore. Flipping through the pages, I knew I needed to have it. It is not just about entertaining; it represents a way of life. A life where simple, gentle, natural beauty is valued above glossier pursuits. Inspiring. Wonderful photos and some good recipes too. The book itself is beautiful and bound in such a way that the pages lay flat. This is definitely one to own in its physical format. Highly recommended.

M: Much prefer the hard copy over the Kindle version. Delightful to hold. Beautifully organized by country - Japan, Denmark, California USA, France, Italy. Not a big fan of the recipes as I eat WFPB meals. Particularly annoying is when the author says “adding a protein is optional” when she means adding meat or fish. Plenty of protein in a whole food plant based diet. The author might consider watching Forks Over Knives and The Game Changers. Or visit nutrition facts dot org. Thank you. Still 5 stars for the book.
