Grmascuba: 1st set was wrong size, return was easy. I reordered and got the correct ones. Husband said so easy to install, and they work perfect just what I needed in my quilt room. Privacy is perfect and I adjust the light. Living in Texas so it get's really hot and these help so much.

dude_with_a_tude: We have a pair of large windows in our living room that faces a pretty busy sidewalk, and every time someone walks past our dog would raise the alarm. The room is too dark with the blinds closed so we decided to try these out so we can block the dog's view while still letting sunlight in.

We replaced a set of IKEA blinds which we did in fact really like. These are a bit better made with a more secure mounting bracket than the plastic ones that came with IKEA. Otherwise they are very similar actually, even in color.

Installation was relatively easy. I'm somewhat handy but found it to be really easy to install. Once the brackets are on they just pop into place with little effort.

So far we really like them! They effectively provide us with a significant amount of privacy while still allowing a ton of natural light in the house. Shipping was fast and arrived days before we expected them. Time will tell how long they last but they really do seem pretty well made. Thanks!

DutchAmerican: I really like these blinds. They are black out and go bottom up or top down. Perfect for the windows we are using them on. Sadly after only 9 months of use one has broken already with just normal use. For the cost it's disappointing - I don't consider this to be a disposable product. I can't find any warranty information or a way to contact the company. I'm anticipating the others to follow suit shortly.

Jennifer L. RichesJennifer L. Riches: I've had these blinds fail in two windows. They were ordered at different times. Different batches. Different installation equipment. So the problem is persistent.

These blinds are great for 1 to 2 years, then they break because they very powerful spring is held in place by plastic. They used plastic for critical parts. It was never intended to last. When your folks complain about everything today is built for the landfill, this is what they mean. Both blinds broke at the same spot. There are no kids here. The blinds were used gently. They broke because of the pressure from the springs on a cheap piece of plastic. Enjoy the photo. That's what one side looks like after the spring explodes through the end.

You'll notice spring is coming out the side and the top. Trash. These blinds are expensive. Apparently mine lasted better than most because I got a little over 2 years out of them.

Ya know what's funny? The old crappy shades that have been in this house since 2007 all still work. I moved them to the basement windows when I installed these. So the cheap old original ones have lasted about 16 years so far while this expensive trash is probably...

Ralph: Update #3: the big one broke in July 2023. And when they break they EXPLODE! Scares the hockey pucks out of you. Still haven't found replacements

UPDATE #2: By Sept 2021 the other one broke and won't go up or down. We have one big one left..... we rarely use it because we're afraid it will go, too. I have to buy something else for these windows, but we're definitely not buying these again. I had such hopes at the start, only to have them dashed.

UPDATE: We ordered these in 3/2020 and within 15 most (6/2021) one of the smaller ones (we bought 2 at 23" and one at 60") won't retract. It's extended and we're stuck with it that way. I'm considering buying another, but they're so expensive. Not sure if I will, or not. It's ironic that my original review questioned the mechanics of it. Not too impressed. We're waiting for the others to not retract.... Tick Tick Tick.
