The blind stops the setting sun blinding (poor pun - I know) my wife at her computer.

Helmut Behrend: I've used these in a couple of my rentals for well over 4 yrs. now; they seem somewhat delicate, but have been holding up well and the top-down bottom-up mechanism still works well; I love the top-down bottom-up control of the blinds - it is sooo practical! ; their wafer structure also looks like they offer good additional insulation for the windows;

Crystal Fletcher: Live in ground floor apartment and was looking for a solution to allow light in and yet provide privacy. This is an excellent option. Was easy to install; we had both panels up within 30 minutes. And it looks great. A friend came over and said these blinds look expensive. Great find!

Karen G.: These shades are great and a very good value. The installation instructions can be confusing, especially since the text and pictures are pretty tiny. I went online to firstrateblinds.com and found the instructions, which could then be magnified on my computer screen. The instructions say to attach the handles for raising and lowering the shade as the final step. The handles can be hard to snap onto the rails, so it's better to attach them before you mount the shade onto the bracket.
Installing the shades is straightforward and the bracket clip is easy to move when removing the shades. They make a big difference in the amount of light that comes in to my room, while maintaining privacy.
