Okie GLLOkie GLL: These are blackout shades, and they work wonderfully! Outside is white, and they look very nice from exterior. Easy to operate, good quality, and east to install. I would/will definitely buy again.

B. S.: This is the third shade from this manufacturer. Taking measurements and ordering was easy. Delivery very fast, packed well. Shade is sturdy, and does the job of keeping out light. A bit of patience was needed to measure where brackets would go, then drill/screw into place. Once up, they look great! Color matches window trim. Very pleased!

San Diego Mom: I have 6 of these blackout shades in white/various sizes. We had professional shutters installed in all of our windows last year. They look beautiful! Unfortunately on one side of our house the sun is so hot and heats the entire half of the house. I got these to use on the windows to cool things down. They are also 99% blackout if they fit the window exact(no space on sides). They work beautifully! My expensive shutters cover these but on their own they look simple and streamlined. My window professional guy charges $350 plus for something similar and $450 for a really wide window. I have mounted these 2 ways. Theses can be clipped into the enclosed mounts or I used gorilla 2 sided clear tape to mount on a window I had no room to use the mounts (On a large bifold shutter patio door-I used 2 shades instead of one big one-so I can use the door) The gorilla tape comes off clean most (not all) surfaces if I should need to change these out if I decide to tint the windows in the future. My husband likes the easy up down with no visible strings! They are inside the blind. A clear heavy duty plastic clip on pull (included) can be used if you don’t want to touch the actual blind. femgeekfemgeek: I would so love to give these shades a 5-star review; they do completely block out the sun and are attractive. However, they have one fatal flaw: The supplied brackets will *only* mount from front-to-back, not from the sides. My windows make it difficult to hang a shade properly from front-to-back (the brackets mount either from the top of the window, or from the back behind the shade, only, and neither of those locations work for me) and it is a surprising lack in an otherwise-nicely-designed shade.

I bought two of these, one from a warehouse seller (you know who I mean) and the other from the primary seller, with the second shade being discounted for damage to the packaging only. They are identical except for the deliberately-different sizes that I needed. The discounted one arrived intact, while the full-price one had the side caps come off in transit and some rubber strips -- presumably for weight -- had to be re-inserted into the bottom rail, and the caps re-installed.

The shades are easy to install if you either want to hang from the wall above the window, or if you have a flat surface at the top of your window; unfortunately, neither of these options work for...
