Alan: Hermosura de libro! I am skeptical about how much this kind of book can caught my attention. Then I find myself absolutely involved, with my heart, plenty there.

I continue discovering that these books, that preconceivedly touch our egos, try not to demonstrate that we are wrong, and showing us that the other side can be, at least, beautiful as well.

Thank u Patrick King for teaching me to be a better listening, a more empathetic person, and why not, even more interesting speaking less.

Rene J Perez: I really like this book, notably because it forced me, a somewhat self-absorbed and caught-up type of person, to become more of a reflective and empathetic individual. It forced me to learn to take attention off myself completely and dive into the mind of the person talking to me. It has taught me many valuable lessons about really “putting yourself in their shoes” and being able to shut up in the right moments, helping me gain new perspectives and most importantly appreciation when listening to other people’s stories.

Julie I Sedell: This book illuminates my few hitch up issues in conversations and relationships which I couldn’t quite see. It helps guide you toward objective observation and non judgment. Gets you out of your emotional stuff when you’re in conversation. So happy I bought and read it!

Jocelyn Lokey: Make it the one book you read this year.

There has never been greater benefit than mastery of a skill to be a good person and being a great listener is a great start.

Patrick King’s writing is simple, succinct and more importantly easy to digest.

I’ve moved onto his 2nd book “ Train Your Empathy. I believe he’s got 41 of those books and I’ve ordered total 6 after much careful selection.

“ How to listen with intention “ covers the same well-known concept yet it’s distilled down to Real conversation and an alternative to go both ways.

Decide, make it your first step toward a good person and embracing this lifelong skill to be an intentional conversationalist.

Decide, to be a good person— not merely words but in action!

Helen: I enjoyed this book all the way through to the end.
It is a great eye opener as to how we communicate with others. And there are some very useful tips in there about how to really listen and understand what the other person is trying to communicate across to us.
A good read for anyone wanting to improve their listening skills.

Chris: I was told by my daughter that I don't listen. I was baffled. So I set out to learn to listen and I picked the perfect book. In the first chapter I already realized just how correct she is and I have made it my goal to fix it. To listen to her so she always feels heard.
I recommend this book to everyone. I hear differently now and welcome conversations to practice my new listening skills. Again.... thank you!

Hayley HinesHayley Hines: I haven’t completed the book yet so I still have time to change my review. However, I wanted to say that in reading this book so far, I truly appreciate the challenges, the knowledge, the different listening styles. I have learned a lot about different styles of listening in just a short time. The only reason I can’t give this 5 stars is that I’ve already noted a typo - which makes me feel that it maybe wasn’t edited? Or edited well by another person. I know proofreading your own is helpful, but I have read and reread sections in this book because the typo really threw me off, or, because it just needed a little bit more intention when reading to make full sense. On a positive note, I have also reread some things I felt were worth repeating to myself to make sure I really grasp fully what King is saying. I have found things in this book so far that are great concepts and will be finishing the book. I just think a book with such beneficial information could have had more attention to detail…

Amazon Customer: This was a really interesting read. It's helpful in understanding what it means to truly listen and also highlights the challenges there are to doing this. I did think there were a couple of judgemental statements about people getting things wrong but the author dealt with this by acknowledging we are human and will get it wrong. Overall very informative.

Abhinav Pratap Singh: The book describes the basic principles that you can use to have a meaningful conversation with people. I know the book is about listening, but that is an integral part of the conversation. Author has given helpful methods for the implementation of the principles started. The chapters and the book has useful summaries of what is discussed in detail in the chapters.
I think the book is very much useful to have good conversation with others.
