Laura:
INITIAL REVIEW UPON PURCHASING:
I purchased this hand pump for inflating my bike tires. I am only an occasional biker, so I use it every month or two. Thus far, I have been very pleased with its performance. It's easy to pump and makes quick work of my bike tires. Those interested in getting perfectly optimized pressure will need a separate pressure gauge, as one is not included with this pump.
TWO MONTH UPDATE:
I've owned the bike pump for two months and used it exactly twice. Yesterday, when I attempted to pump up my tires, the entire thing broke in two. I guess inexpensive really does mean cheap in this case. I'll be searching for a better quality pump in the future.

N:
This pump seems to work a lot better than the one I had as a kid. It works quickly and without problems.
Update 4/9/2014: After a lot of regular use, the tubing on the pump broke on me a few months back. The wrapping around the tube shifted and did not restrict the stretching like it should have so it got a small hole in it. Before the hole it worked great and I could probably replace the tube, but for the cost, it's probably better to just replace the whole thing. I would suggest if you have this type of pump, regularly inspect the tube casing to make sure it is evenly spread where it needs to be or maybe even reinforce it before it gets too late.

Katherine C: I have a mountain bike that I use for a lot of city riding in a city that has terrible pot holes. Because I don't have any indoor place to store my bicycle, and because I live in south Louisiana with lots of weather and atmospheric pressure fluctuations, it's easy for me to lose tire pressure. This pump does everything I need it to do and it stores away in a small space (I live in a very small house) because it is designed in such a streamlined fashion. You don't have to break a sweat to use it either. Great price for a very practical and functional product. I don't know how long it will last, but I don't see any reason why it won't last me a long time. It's a very simple piece of equipment, after all. Would buy again.

DSJ: Ok, this is your basic bike pump. You stand it up and insert the nozzle on the tire and pump the top handle. Thats it! It took me one minute to pump up my half flat tire and I was done. Its long enough to fit between the top crossbar too. Im not sure if it was made for this but it fits perfectly between the seat and gooseneck so I can ride the bike with the pump on it. I couldnt ask for more. Its not complicated, works the way it should and is great quality. So, if you need a good basic pump, this is it! came packaged in a long skinny box and packaged well. No problems here!

James Russell: Keeping this in my car alongside a tire repair kit, pair of needle nose. You know the drill, no need to worry. Works well in airing up my car tires, and is well constructed. I'll take a manual over any kind of electronic when I'm on the road. I also appreciate a longer hose on this pump, as most of them made today are like 1 inch long. Worth the purchase.
